End of the American Empire? The US-Israel war on Iran is an epic disaster in the making.

My look at the interconnected military, political, economic and diplomatic dimensions of this conflict which is shaping up to be an epic defeat for U.S. global power whether Trump decides to launch a ground war or go full TACO.

I wrote the cover story for the April Indy about the Iran War & the end of American Empire. One reader replied to the article, writing "It is spot-on, very terse, very comprehensive—a nutrient-filled Red Pill for those who need to get up to speed on this Trump/Netanyahu war of choice." Link below!

I got to meet Palestinian student leader Mahmoud Khalil at last night's Brooklyn for Peace annual gala. Mahmoud has endured so much hate and repression for demanding an end to the Gaza genocide. His ability to meet the moment with clarity and courage should be an inspiration for all of us.

This month's issue of The Indypendent commemorates 25 years of "a free paper for free people" that has become a New York City institution. It's been quite a ride!

Trump ally Charlie Kirk shot at Utah Valley University "We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot," President Donald Trump wrote in a social media post. "GOD BLESS HIM!"

Whatever you think of gun-loving right-wing demagogue Charlie Kirk who was shot today in Utah, this is bad news. This vigilanteism further opens the Pandora's box of political violence and over time no public figure will be safe – right, left or center.

The Street Has Spoken: Zohran Is One Of Us And we're so ready for it.

The Indy's Nicholas Powers:

"Zohran saw us, and through him, we saw ourselves. We are stronger than racism. We are better than homophobia. We sacrifice ourselves to save each other’s lives. We did during 9/11, Hurricane Sandy and Covid. We do it every day."

NYT Runs Hit Piece on Mamdani Based on Tip From Proponent of 'Race Science' | Common Dreams The New York Times questions Zohran Mamdani's racial background based on a tip from a proponent of "race science."

I'm so glad I cancelled my NYT subscription earlier this year. I can scan their front-page headlines to see what they are up to and look elsewhere if I need to catch up on the topic. I don't need to pay people to insult my intelligence.
