STOP KILLING ALLIGATORS AND MAKING GATORADE
It's time! We're kicking off our 9 day retro speedrunning marathon.
Come cheer on all the amazing speedrunners all week long!!!
Retrothon 2026 starts in 15 minutes!
Schedule: horaro.net/retrothon26/...
I'm sad to report that I didn't get the job. It was apparently a close call, but the slimmest of margins beat me out.
Onto the next one...
Cats, am I right?
Lmao

I can't believe it, I finally found him, here of all places! 🤩
In a little over an hour, I have my second interview for a job that will raise my pay by 40%, reduce my daily commute by 60%, and allow for weekends off.
It should go without saying, but I need this. Lend me thine energy!
Wanted to stream all weekend and tonight, but... life threw a curveball. I hope to be back sooner rather than later, but really, family comes first for yours truly.
Hope to see you all soon. ❤️
Sticking to the classics.
That match does rule.
I'm SOOOO close to hitting 1k subscribers on my YouTube channel. I'm thinking of returning to live streams this weekend. If anyone is interested in checking out my speedrunning content, please consider subscribing to my channel. It helps tremendously! #youtube #speedrunning

My accidental tribute to Yoshihisa Kishimoto: clearing two loops of Renegade for the first time.

The WCW mini-movies are a special brand of glorious garbage.
Had an interview today that went well enough for a second interview, occurring next week. This position would be a huge step up about everything where I currently am, so I'll repost again next week to get that good NRG.
Been wanting to throw this in Splinter. The budget constraint is real, but I might be willing to start including one $10 card per list. Maybe.
Deck looks sick, though.
A childhood favorite. The strats are simple in concept, but the little stuff adds up fast. The stage 1 boss is execution heavy, which I was okay with. The real dirt was learning that leaving enemies on screen drops the frame rate, so you're incentivized to kill everything. Not making time for that.
Another platformer that didn't click, despite having a great teacher. I promise you it's a "me" problem.
Interesting game, but even after I 1CC'd, I had no interest in pushing, despite using speed strats. Just a little too jank for my extended taste, but perfect for a short grind. This is the arcade version, just FYI.
I love me some Mutant Apocalypse, but this spiritual sequel just felt off for some reason. Iron Man is an amazing character, though.
As "go right and fight" speedruns go, I thought this one was pretty boring.
This one looked simple at first glance. Well... it isn't. The controls felt too clunky and unintuitive at first, so I shelved it. I've since 1CC'd the arcade version, and I love me a short, pocket NES speedrun, so this one might get a revisit.
Another one that seemed promising on paper, but enemies having random health is a death knell. I wasn't interested in that heavy of an RNG reset grind.
I enjoyed this one for the brief period that I spent time with it, but the stage 4 zips were a bit much without a proper tutorial. Maybe AFrame has released something since? Idk. A revisit isn't impossible as I love me a jank speedrun, and skipping the first two stages completely is *chef's kiss*
This one surprises people, I think. It was probably my favorite game from childhood, so why not push it?
I have some verified runs, but it just isn't for me due to how meticulous it is. I was concerned it would be the kind of run that would make me hate the game, and I didn't want that to happen.
I tried. I learned the run firsthand from one of the best at the time. I hoped it would teach me better platforming.
None of these things worked out in my favor. I think it was at this point that I decided platformer speedruns just weren't for me.
Hugs and love, friendo.
Such a good EP. Rotten Apple is arguably their best song.
