From what I understand, in this library children cannot check out things from the adult area. So kids that might want to read them but have bigoted parents, or parents that do not pay attention would be denied access to those titles.

I am generally not a fan of live action adaptations. However, the One Piece adaptation on Netflix (seasons 1&2) have brought my teens and I so much joy. It is so well done.
Maybe she grew up in a house with a well, or visited somewhere with a well when power was out and just thought that’s the way it always was? My childhood home had a well and no power meant no water.

My neighborhood is currently occupied by a large mixed flock of birds. We have spotted two kinds or sparrows, house finches, grackles, starlings, mourning doves, cowbirds, red wing blackbirds, blue jays and cardinals. They are all hanging out together and moving in waves. Cool, but a bit scary.
