My assessment of the quality of policing in West Yorkshire over my 45 years as the Huddersfield MP was was of a force with incredibly poor leadership, low morale poor management woefully,out of date recruitment & training .Membership of a secret society was embedded from top to bottom.

Seems strange on same day California court imposed huge damages for their promotion of harmful material over some years the BBC appoints a new top boss from the same milieu!
Many people don’t realise that our Justice system was starved of resources for years with tougher cuts than any other Department. So much of our system has been hollowed out & morale at every level shockingly low.
