In the throes of President Trump’s mass deportation campaign, immigration enforcement embeds within colleges, with little to no community oversight, legal transparency, or guardrails, @julialuz.bsky.social reports. As more colleges enter into partnerships with ICE & CBP, students are fighting back.

May the memories of those who died in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising bless all those yearning for freedom.
We are proud inheritors of the legacy of the Bund. In honor of those who came before us, in devotion to those who will come after, we commit to furthering the struggle for collective liberation in our lifetimes.
to Palestinians displaced in the Nakba, to Black Americans living under Jim Crow.
Molly teaches us that there is no other way to write the story of the Bund, because the Bundists understood in their core that their liberation was intertwined with the liberation of all people, from working class Poles under Nazi rule...
Here Where We Live is Our Country puts the theories and actions of the Bundists into conversation with freedom struggles across time and space.
With her words we remember Warsaw. With her words we bear witness to Gaza, and Iran and Lebanon.
“Despite all manner of degradation, humans stubbornly resist their own erasure. They refuse the role that fascists have written for them. They mock their oppressors. They create and love,” Molly writes.
Here Where We Live is Our Country, the new book by JVP member @mollycrabapple.bsky.social, offers us a sacred opportunity to learn about our ancestors in the Jewish Labor Bund who participated in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.

Israeli forces have treated Palestinians in Israeli prisons inhumanely for decades, with thousands held for years without charge, and over 100 dying while incarcerated in the past two years.
Since the founding of the state of Israel, the Israeli government has instituted an implicit policy of capital punishment for Palestinians.
Israeli settlers living in the West Bank will continue to be tried in Israeli civilian courts, which almost never hold them to account, effectively being granted impunity to kill Palestinians.
The law will mainly be applied to Palestinians who live in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, where they are tried in Israeli military courts, which have a 99% conviction rate.
This law will mean that Palestinians convicted of killing Israelis will likely be hanged, with no option of appeal, within a 90-day period. Whereas Israelis, convicted of killing anyone, will never face the death penalty.
Israel’s new death penalty law places thousands of Palestinians at imminent risk of execution and escalates the systemized killing of Palestinians by the Israeli apartheid regime.

Instead, they focused on building dignity and solidarity right where they lived. Here where we live is our country.
Their answer to rising nationalism and persecution wasn't to seek a homeland elsewhere, or to colonize other people’s land, or to establish an ethno-state that privileges Jews over others.
The Bund was once the most powerful Jewish political force in Eastern Europe: secular, socialist, and uncompromisingly anti-Zionist.
Molly’s book brings into the mainstream what we’ve long known: Anti-Zionism is a deeply rooted and vital part of Jewish history—and we’ve always been here
Here Where We Live Is Our Country tells the vital history of the Jewish Labor Bund, far too long erased and suppressed by apologists for the Israeli government and the American Jewish institutions that support it.
