Never mind all the charm and talent. That much of Isiah is always onscreen and utterly obvious.

Instead, a last word to let everyone know what isn't evidenced on film: He was an even better person than he was an actor; a warm and gracious delight of a man. Goodbye, friend.

Boozer's up to 29 points and Duke retakes the lead when a Ngongba 3 hits the side of the backboard, he gets his own rebound, misses the layup and then taps in his own miss. They all count.

Duke 66-64, Arkansas timeout.

Always thought it was good. Andor - with the backstory - has elevated it. (give the keys to Tony Gilroy). Third best Star Wars movie for me.

NC State puts a new spin on ‘a punt is never a bad play’ in weird win over FSU The Wolfpack recovers back-to-back punts in the fourth quarter to set up Justin Joly’s game-sealing score in a 21-11 win over the Seminoles.

Maybe a punt really *isn't* a bad play. It worked for NC State on Friday -- twice -- to set up the final score in a 21-11 win over Florida State, the Wolfpack's fourth straight over the Seminoles.

NC State asks to divert Lenovo Center improvement fund to support basketball N.C. State is allocated $500,000 a year from the arena’s naming rights to fulfill the school’s requests for building upgrades. The university wants to spend that money on men’s basketball instead.

At Centennial Authority meeting today, authority approved NC State's request to use its share of naming-rights revenue, about $500,000/yr, to support the basketball program, with restrictions on how the money is spent and a reserve fund.

Hurricanes on brink of wrong kind of history after another blowout loss to Panthers Why the Carolina Hurricanes might well be on their way to the most embarrassing, listless, dismal playoff series in their 28 years in North Carolina.

I have been around for every playoff series except 1999, and I can say this with total conviction: This is the worst one (so far) in the Hurricanes' 28 years in NC.

They're making errors that would be punished by ECHL scrubs in the preseason. Total collapse.

Two years ago, all four losses were closer than this, but the aura of being outfoxed by the Panthers was nearly identical Tuesday.

After a rare home loss, the Hurricanes have to find a way to fight the broad sweep of history that keeps pushing back at them.

Former Duke assistant Jai Lucas carving his own path as head coach at Miami Jai Lucas left Duke for the head job at Miami in midseason, before the Blue Devils’ ACC title and Final Four run. He only watched one Duke game after he left — the one Duke lost.

When Jai Lucas left Duke on the eve of the ACC tournament, he left Duke behind. The only game Lucas actually watched was the only one Duke lost.

Rebuilding Miami’s program as a first-time head coach occupied the entirety of the 36-year-old’s agenda in March.
