If I had a nickel for every time I watched a weird, 12 episode magical girl anime with bears and lesbians, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.

A dragon perches at the top of a pyramid shaped building in this digital painting of a modern city at night. The colors are gray and gold. The dragon is black lit with warm light. People gather on a rooftop to watch it
"Modern Dragons" launches tomorrow 🐉
Omg, this is so pretty! I love how the dragon's colors make it look like a natural part of the city without undermining the dissonance/cool factor of a dragon in an urban metropolis!!!

Ah, yes. "Objective" art reviews, a thing that is both possible to create and helpful to audiences.
Additionally, if you haven't read Smash the World's Shell yet, now's the perfect time. The ebook will be on sale for 99 cents for one week starting tomorrow. Spread the word!
The last day approaches… Ellen is a girl who wants to protect. Shard is a dragon striving to heal. Two weeks ago, they came together to survive impossible odds, but their struggles are far from over. Traversing the Wildlands, where dragons make their home and no human is safe, the pair embarks on a mission to seek the mysterious Temple Mountain, for it may hide a secret that can quell the god Agito’s wrath. But although their friendship has lifted Ellen from her darkest depths, Shard is still floundering. If they are to succeed, they’ll have to face harsh truths about themselves, their families – and the world. Lana is a girl desperate to be seen. When her father, Jess, tasks her with finding a dragon’s magic ring, she jumps at the chance for his attention. But Jess isn’t the man he pretends to be. Soon, his scheming lands her in the Wildlands with only her former friend Ellen and Shard for allies. To stay alive, Lana will have to put her hatred of dragons aside – and question everything about who she wants to be. Firebug is a dragoness hungry for change. All her life, the males of her tribe have treated her like she's less, refusing to believe in her exceptional precognition. But when she learns a shocking secret, she must flee the tribe with two strangers who might hold the key to properly honing her powers – if she can even trust them. Four lives on a collision course. Three weeks before time runs out. Two peoples sharing one world, trapped in a cycle by fear. This time, victory may not come without a cost…
With April Fool's Day in the rearview mirror, I'm excited to share the *actual* synopsis for the Smash the World's Shell sequel, currently titled Beyond the World's Shell and planned for release later this year! Spoiler alert: there probably won't be any magic diamonds. ;)
Disturb not the harmony of dragon, gem, and man... It's been 3 months since Shard and Ellen discovered their true heritage. Now, they spend their days drifting through the Wildlands, subsisting off what little they can forage. Their friendship is as solid as ever, but with autumn cooling into winter, their odds of survival are beginning to look bleak. But everything changes when Ellen discovers the legendary Ruins of Alpos Flior and accidentally awakens its greatest treasure: a magic diamond able to grant any one wish. With Inferno, Jess Flint, and an underground society of hipsters you probably haven't heard of all vying for the diamond, Ellen and Shard will have to use all their strength, creativity and resolve to keep it out of evil hands – and this time, there won't be a next time like last time. Forever.
After more than two years, I'm thrilled to announce the wait for the sequel to Smash the World's Shell is almost over. Ellen and Shard's story will continue in Beyond the World's Shell, coming September 31st, 2026 from @waterdragonpub.bsky.social.
Smash the World's Shell fans, keep your eyes peeled. Sequel updates coming next week. 👀
Post a show with witches that isn’t made by a transphobe
I like how this Ralph Waldo Emerson essay starts... #booksky
So... what you're saying is there's world out there where Vanja hustled Kaiba exactly once and he's still salty about it years later. That checks out!
(And also that I should read Rootbound but mostly the other thing. 😉 )
I love the way you integrated Kim's jacket into his bee superhero transformation. This is so cool! Time to browse your profile to see if you've done Harry as a Miraculous hero, too....
Love this! I never would have thought to make Luz be Ladybug, but I can totally see it now. 🤩
So if a hot dog is a taco, does that make a quesadilla a half-sandwich?
Not to spoil anything, but I'm having SO much fun writing the main antagonist of the sequel to Smash the World's Shell. They're so punchable without even realizing it lol
*using they to hide their gender, not gender neutrally.
Also, every time Queen Beryl is mentioned, I can't help thinking of a certain 90s anime villain with a magical miniskirted middle schooler for her archenemy. Wild if Tui Sutherland's secretly been a Moonie the whole time😂
Almost done with Wings of Fire: The Hybrid Prince! I love Umber so much. He and Sora deserve to be normal kids while they still *are* kids, not fighting wars and magic curses. :(
I tried playing Covenant of the Plume early in my high school days after watching How To Train Your Dragon convinced me I was interested in Norse mythology. Turns out I'm awful at SRPGs! And so the internet missed out(?) on a fanfic where Hiccup skips level grinding with an evil dragon scale.....
Chocolate isn't real.
Ironically, you've blessed us with a perfect new reaction image. Yoink~ 😝
"Pokemon went woke"
My man Pokemon had socialized medical care from day friggin one
Screenshot of a battle scene Pokémon LeafGreen. The text informs the player they succesfully caught a Pikachu.
Downloaded Pokémon LeafGreen on the eShop today. Suffice to say, I'm already having an electrifying time... :)
Looking to explain your fruitless job search to friends and family?
Try puns!
"Did you get that tennis instructor gig?"
"They were running a racket."
"What about the Egyptologist listing?"
"Pretty sure it was a pyramid scheme."
"...you could be an assassin?"
"That's kind of a cutthroat industry!"
Vanja: Of course we're in love. That's why I tried to shoot you.
Emeric: If we were really in love, you wouldn't have disregarded basic firearm safety. I even gave you a whole manual on it that you used as kindling for campfire smores and burning evidence.
I love it!!! Thank you for the fanart!
Wow!!! It him!
It my artsy boyo!!! 💖
"But I can't afford to hire a human artist for my business!"
Then you can't afford a business.
Nearly done with FFVII Remake for the first time! Gameplay aside, the dialogue does *such* a good job of characterizing the cast without directly telling us who they are. Cloud especially gets a ton of mileage out of economical writing and good voice acting. Can't wait to play Rebirth!
