I’ve made a number of comics related to or directly influenced by the podcast @unexplained.bsky.social over the last 3 years. Paranormal comics are so fun to write and Richard’s work on Unexplained has been a huge inspiration. Read them all for free on my website: www.amoryabbott.com/illustration

As Anti-Zionist Jews dedicated to collective liberation for all people, we call for an immediate halt to the Israeli government’s violent escalation of war with Iran which threatens full blown regional war.

Just finished leathercrafting my first archery quiver. It was a really fun experience designing the pattern, sourcing the leather and tools, and putting my own artistic finishing touches to the carved antelope/knotwork design on the face.

Palestinians are calling U.S.-run aid centers in Gaza “death traps” and “massacre sites” as Israeli forces continue to gun down civilians seeking food. With no alternative, many still risk the journey — knowing they might be shot.

Beef Stroganoff; a poem and zine about love and fear Beef Stroganoff My father’s favorite freeze-dried backpacking meal For years Was beef stroganoff Until the fateful day he realized It contained mushrooms. And a lifetime prejudice against all fungi ...

A few years ago I wrote a poem about how my dad didn’t like mushrooms. It felt like a microcosm of many of our human idiosyncrasies. Eventually the poem felt like good structure for an illustrated zine, so here they are together:

There is one place, however, where Musk, with the help of his minions, achieved his goals. He did indeed shred U.S.A.I.D. Though a rump operation is now operating inside the State Department, the administration says that it has terminated more than 80 percent of U.S.A.I.D. grants. Brooke Nichols, an associate professor of global health at Boston University, has estimated that these cuts have already resulted in about 300,000 deaths, most of them of children, and will most likely lead to significantly more by the end of the year. That is what Musk’s foray into politics accomplished.

Musk should be asked about this in every interview he does now and forever. To ignore it is a dereliction of duty.

DOE Cancels $3.7B in Clean Energy Projects Through Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations Project cuts include funding for carbon capture, low-carbon cement

The Department of Energy just canceled $3.7B in funding for clean energy projects, including green cement.

The Trump Administration is killing investments in U.S. competitiveness, good jobs & cleaner air to support tax cuts & line the pockets of billionaires.
