The city connect jerseys have real "turn forward the clock night" vibes. @dicknixon.bsky.social do you remember those from the 1990s?
West Side Story.
I will pay $50 if I can watch this from my own couch and pause when someone needs to go to the bathroom.
remember those sets from that movie you saw 26 years ago? well, we're gonna show em to you again because there is no end to this
'You've had your whole 15 fucking movies and 25 fucking TV series to "create a bridge from Endgame to Doomsday", what good's a few minutes more gonna do you now!?'

Yeah, much of California should look like Honolulu or Lake Michigan in Chicago or Florida.
(At some point you run out of water)
In 1935, apparently 2 hours and 11 minutes was considered a long enough film that Variety had to damp down fears that audiences wouldn't sit through it
Nah, it'd just be nice if the average high in March was like 68 instead of 58
"*sunnier* and warmer since March", this was not a comment on climate change.
Sunnier, sorry. But this was all true in 1970 as well.
I am guessing you're looking at percentage terms. Boise and SLC are growing pretty quick though! A lot of people like skiing I guess.
It's possible that the intersection of "only slightly insane house prices", "urbanism", "water access", and "good job market" is Seattle, DC, and parts of Chicago. Throw in "ski area access" and you're down to just Seattle.
Locals do acclimate to "65 and sunny is warm" instead of "70 and cloudy is sweater weather", but observably people are more likely to prefer warmer weather now that a/c is widespread.

Here's the bar chart. Plenty of options if you are looking for sunshine.
I mean we should just take it and make him whine about it.
Seattle has a lot of things going for it!l. Even weather wise! It does not get a lot of snow. You don't have huge temperature swings. Not much in the way of extreme heat (or a/c but that's another story)
But if you want sunshine, live literally anywhere else.
Because every major city except Pittsburgh gets more sunshine.
I enjoy living here, but "oh the weather isn't that bad" is a psyop. This is catharsis from a nice stretch of sunny warm days for the first time in six months, it's been summer and warmer in much of the country since March.
Vibecession and gas prices continuing to hurt incumbents?
It genuinely strikes me as very weird that people are angry at MGP for actually doing the job of a house rep (focusing on issues relevant to her district and local businesses) instead of omnicausing.
Just the other day I was trying to explain to my students how Pacino's screen persona shifted in the 80s/early 90s, and how the shouty HOO-AHH version of him would have been totally foreign to moviegoers of the 1970s.
I like Pete! I just think the viral line videos are an overplayed gimmick at this point.
this is it right here. AI violates Vonnegut's number 1 rule for writers: "Use the time of a total stranger in such a way that he or she will not feel the time was wasted." AI shifts the burden of effort from the writer onto the reader/audience and that is unacceptable
Yes, it's just what it looks like if a high 3/low 4 number of people are required to line up in a way that maximizes the length of the line visually.
An actual event would not do this! They'd have stuff like your see at TSA lines.
Yeah I'm pretty gloomy on widespread legal retribution, but we should absolutely repossess the plane and freeze any assets that have even a whiff of foreign bribery and make them prove they're not bribes.
Yeah I want something that tells me how I know a person. I already want something that keeps track of the last place I saw something (I think the vision search stuff might be getting close)
