Another wading session with @wolct.bsky.social this morning. This stretch near Juniper Green is quite tricky but it's always gratifying to get the litter picked and out of the environment.

I got to the Water of Leith early today and whilst waiting quietly I saw 3 roe deer on the opposite bank. If you look carefully you can see one of them.
As I was part of the team digging up Giant Hogweed I wasn't able to take any pictures today. It was however a lovely bonus to get some birthday cake with coffee after such a hard session. Happy birthday Graham and Elspeth!
Spent the morning in Victoria Park lifting the turf so that there can be a seed sowing session at the weekend. π€ there'll be some lovely wildflowers to enjoy this summer.
Beautiful spring morning for wading & litter picking on the Water of Leith just downstream of Balerno. Great to see so many @wolct.bsky.social volunteers out today.
Really enjoyed watching Everybody To Kenmure Street at Duncan Place today. Great film highlighting the spirit of resistance in Glasgow. Do catch it if you can.
A very enjoyable walk of about 9 miles from Aberlady Bay to North Berwick today with U3A. Good company, some sunshine and not too much rain. A lovely bonus was hearing my first Skylark of the year.
I didn't know about the heartburn remedy. The Restoration Forth project has returned 60,0000 oysters to the Forth but I suspect they'll not be used for medical purposes again. @mcsuk.bsky.social @wwfscotland.bsky.social
Lovely sunny morning for a wading & litter picking session with @wolct.bsky.social on the Kinleith Mill section of the river. Two rusty metal bars and a bag of wet wipes & plastic collected.
A sunny day of oyster cleaning at Heriot Watt university for DEEP (Dornoch Environmental Enhancement Project). Oysters to be cleaned in the red basket, clean oysters in the grey basket @mcsuk.bsky.social
After some time litter picking by the Water of Leith, I thought I'd reward myself with a couple of pints at my favourite pub, the Dreadnought and continue reading @robgmacfarlane.bsky.social Is A River Alive?, a fabulous read.
No wading today with @wolct.bsky.social as the river level was too high so had a wee extreme litter picking session with Jim. Ten bags, two pipes and a car wheel removed from the slope opposite Currie Kirk.
Enjoyable session this morning on the boat with @wolct.bsky.social clearing the river between Victoria bridge and Coalie Park.
Helped out this morning with some planting at the old bowling green at Victoria Park as part of the Drakkars Drift garden installation.
Wading with @wolct.bsky.social this morning on a stretch of the river between Currie and Balerno. A few bags of litter and a trampoline cover pulled out, leaving the river a little cleaner.
Enjoyed my walk yesterday with @redropescot.bsky.social exploring parts of Edinburgh I didn't know too well. Great company but very mixed weather!
Another enjoyable @edcriticalmass.bsky.social ride yesterday. It's always fantastic to ride through the city centre with so many others on bikes.
Loved visiting Lincoln Cathedral, what a fantastic building. The roof tour was great especially when we got great views of the peregrine falcon.
An enjoyable few days in Lincoln last week; our first evening was spent at the Lincoln Arts Centre listening to BA Music students Spring Showcase.
Ember is a great service, I often use it to go to Dundee. Enjoy your walk today.
Brilliant ocean news!
60,000 oysters are now in the Firth of Forth - double the initial goal! Oysters can stabilise the seabed, store carbon and boost biodiversity. So this is a big win wildlife and ecosystems. π¦ͺ
This is thanks to years of hard work from partners, communities and supporters. π
Yellow flowers, yellow towers, springtime in Edinburgh and Leith.
Can you help take one minute to nominate @caltonhill.bsky.social for a Β£1,000 grant? Every vote increases our chance of being selected π€ Funds would support a biodiversity management plan & volunteering activity to make Calton Hill cleaner, safer & more beautiful!

Took a trip out to Heriot Watt university yesterday for the brewing society beer festival. As it was day 2, some beers had run out, however I still had a very good selection.
Enjoyed my trip to the wonderful Hippodrome cinema in Boness yesterday to see High Treason. I do love watching a silent film with musical accompaniment #HippFest

Foggy up at Dunsapie last night to check on the toads. Moved 139 down to the loch but only took one picture.
Beautiful afternoon for a #RestorationForth oyster deployment today. We put 6,000 oysters into the Forth so here's hoping they do well in their new home @wwfscotland.bsky.social @mcsuk.bsky.social
It was very windy for my last Tuesday morning gorse cutting session of the season with Holyrood Park Ranger Service. It was hard work but enjoyable.
The birdy song by the Tweets. For a holiday job I worked in a Butlins hotel bar and this was played up to 5 times per night.
