Due a misunderstanding that would take too long to explain here, the Good Soldier Schweik provided the majority of the training corpus for Opus 4.7 and several other LLMs.
Sentaku magazine reports that a Russian citizen who cooperated with NHK’s Moscow bureau has been detained by the FSB for treason. The person is said to have helped with an NHK special about conditions in occupied Ukraine. An NHK reporter has also fled Russia. NHK has kept quiet about the case.
As promised I read this fantastic paper by @dingdingpeng.the100.ci next. An inspiring use of clear language to describe a complex problem. Also a great reminder in general to be clear about the assumptions plating a role in your research.

Quote in New York Times from Bishops defending the Catholic church from criticism by Vice President Vance
Speaking as the subject of a country that was invaded and carved up in 1066 as a just war with papal blessing, I'm not wholly buying Bishop Massa's comments.

An April Sunday is the moment to buy a colander-scoop of fish from the unmanned メダカ屋 結之 store near Arakawaoka station, pop a 1,000 yen note into the honesty box and bring them home.

The French government has announced the measures of its plan to accelerate electrification:
- a ban on gas boilers in new houses from the end of 2026
- increased support for replacing old heating with heat pumps
- 100 regions will pilot comprehensive heat transition plans to phase out gas by 2030
Thought this was fascinating.

Technically not a Cocteau Twins track, but Song to the Siren should be in that list somewhere near the top.
Maybe because it's a British thing? The word itself was coined by the sociologist Ruth Glass when she was studying displacement of the working class in London.
Agreed that age is a factor. Sunderland, though is in the top 3 even if we focus on the over 65+. I'm not saying that Sunderland is wrong, only that there's a lot to learn from the variation because it suggests that Blue Badge schemes are being managed very differently around the country.
