30 years ago today (!) my first #DoctorWho novel WHO KILLED KENNEDY was published. You can read the original or my revised version here for free: doctorwho.org.nz/archive/wkk/
I keep hoping someone will make an audiobook of WKK. Maybe one day…
‘His dad’s a big wheel at the cracker factory’
My first episode of Megatropolis Book 2 is out today in this month's "Judge Dredd Megazine". I'm picking up the strip after the sad and premature death of original artist Dave Taylor and doing my best to make the transition as seamless as possible. @2000ad.bsky.social
The Haunting (1963) is on BBC2 at 23.00 tonight. I think it's one of the most genuinely creepy films of all time. It’s basically a masterclass in psychological torment, where the scariest special effect is your own brain filling in the gaps.
Somewhere in my hard drive - or the hard drive of a long retired PC - I had a template I used to give kids to help them make their own zines. It was a free download, and I can't find it anywhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
@lawlesscomiccon.bsky.social is just a few short weeks and I’m taking pre-show commissions as of right now! In fact the only way you can get an 11x17 Cover quality illustration is the ‘pre-show’ route so drop me a DM soon to make sure yours is ready to collect over the weekend.
With 23 years of continuous work as a letterer, and over 30 years of print/production experience, I’m now unable to find any new lettering work in comics.
Please keep me in mind when staffing your creator-owned projects and please consider requesting me on your WFH projects 🙏
Just sharing a few random thoughts in the middle of the night....

His character is too good for that film.

A slightly belated podcast alert! Here’s me chatting to @2000ad.bsky.social's @molcher.bsky.social about comics, crime fiction, science fiction, historical fiction & some glam real-life stuff, such as selling Scotch pies at Dens Park football stadium way back when...

Cover of the comic Judge Dredd: A Better World featuring the main characters
This is one of the best comics I've read in years and it's not even close. Especially in this current moment.
Judge Dredd: A Better World is about an accountant in post-nuclear holocaust America's fascist Justice Department finds out One Weird Trick! to reduce crime in Mega-City One.
‘I'm pleased and happy to repeat the news that we have, in fact, decided not to destroy an entire civilisation. But, as you see, it's a beautiful day, The Strait of Hormuz is open and people are having a wonderful time.’
“America is the peacekeeper of the world”.
Trump wil probably claim the Nobel Peace Prize again….

A starfield filled with thousands of stars and shining clouds of dust. The Milky Way\u2019s elegant spiral structure is dominated by just two arms wrapping off the ends of a central bar of stars. Spanning more than 100,000 light-years, Earth is located along one of the galaxy\u2019s spiral arms, about halfway from the center. Credit: NASA
OH. MY. GOD.
THIS IS THE MILKY WAY SHOT BY THE ARTEMIS II CREW. LOOK AT ALL THOSE STARS!!!!
Seems daft to be talking about this but, y'know...
