I’d be careful of that, it’s indicative but some of the values are mental. Gueye who is one of our better players and would likely get games for all those teams is valued around 1.5m. Value sometimes doesn’t equate to quality. Armstrong is another, £800k?? I don’t think so…

Keane was nowhere near our worst player. Gueye was absolutely shocking, as were Beto, O’Brien, Alcaraz. The tactics and set up were a complete mystery to me - what were the players told to do this evening? That was an absolutely horrendous performance. Get a specialist RB, DM and RW, not that deep.

Couldn’t say about anyone else with insider knowledge posting or not posting, not sure who else knows much. Put it this way, if I ever knew anything I’d never do it publicly because the grief you get for doing so just isn’t worth it.

I get it, you don’t like him. I think it’s good to hear things, we are all desperate for news. I think they get totally unnecessary grief which goes way too far. If people don’t like it, or monetising things, fine, move on. The stick they get is completely uncalled for in my opinion.

So if that happened I don’t agree with that. It’s certainly not a recent thing and the grief that they get currently isn’t fair on this issue.

I just want to clarify that teams know before the press do who is lining up for whatever side. The press then get the team sheets; if someone gets that team sheet and shares it, there is no advantage to anyone as all the important people know what’s happening already.

Just looking at the new stadium on Google Maps. Are there any plans for the land on Charing Docks opposite Dublin Street and Dickson Street? Just seems like a bit of a wasteland at the moment?

As I don’t know everything about the finances involved, or what we may have lined up elsewhere, I’m sure there is a reason we didn’t go for those players. The fact so many out of contract players are still out of contract suggests that what they are demanding might be excessive.

I haven’t forgotten at all, I know how many we need to sign but I’m also aware that you can’t just make the market work, it depends on loads of other things happening unless you are one of the clubs seemingly immune from PSR. We need better players than we have and I’m sure we’ll get them.

Not at all, but it’s quite obvious that every team outside the top 6 is not really making signings, certainly not at the level they want/need. Hopefully the market starts to move more now and we get the players we want.
