I love seeing UI tell your story OR if there’s too much complexity having a more loving/interactive onboarding flow

yeah the 'trapped in figma' conundrum is real and absolutely intentional from multiple corners of the industry. we have a whole generation of designers whose entire mental model for ui design is 'what figma lets me do' which is just wild to me.
designers please learn to code. i promise it is not hard unless you try learning it from one of those weird youtube people who make it exponentially more difficult than it needs to be for absolutely no reason. start with basic html and css and you can make your own cool shit in a matter of hours.

using it for a small ds that'll serve 2-3 different UIs and loving it so far. the scope + attributes +custom properties approach is so good for handling components with tonnes of variants. excited to dive a bit deeper!
spent the weekend trying this out properly and convinced it's the best way to be building design system components right now. just enough abstraction. pairing elena with @sugarcube.sh for token-first workflows and i don't think i've enjoyed building ds foundations more than this.
