Judaism recognizes adoption, so when she was younger and in high school, I had to warn her about who to tell that she was Jewish to, even if it's only by technicality from me.

Conflicting feels. Really proud of the person she's becoming. Hate that this stuff is happening at all.

That feel when your teenaged daughter feels like she needs to warn you to be really careful due to all of the extreme antisemitism she's seeing online.

I'm proud of her for being aware and listening to me and sad that its something she feels like she should warn me about.

Just found out that D'Angelo is dead (RIP, so sad). Told my hubby b/c he's big into rap and R&B. He likes to watch hockey with me (and has played beer league) but isn't super into it.

His first response?

"The hockey player?"

Y'all I am so proud. 😂

TBF, his next question was "or the singer?"

I'm just gonna say it.

It DOES NOT make you a good person for jumping to conclusions over a Very Serious Thing without waiting for all of the information first.

That is an incredibly dangerous way to think and if you don't understand why, you need to sit down and put some thought into it.

One other point-
None of the players can sign till 10/15 and they can’t play till 12/1. I doubt management will say anything till then, and that’s a fair amount of time to just let it…not happen.

Exactly, we have no room. Sure he's physical but who cares if he can't also put up points? And he isn't young, so it's not like it's a project.

Okay before people freak out, we have no spot for McLeod on the roster. He's put up 26 points MAX only in a single year.

KK has put up 33 and 43 points with us and we already have Jank as the extra.

There is literally no room for McLeod.

Okay cool. I had a hysterectomy and my gallbladder removed, so lots to recover from.

Thats reassuring to know it's not just me lol.

(Wow, hope you're feeling better after all of that!)

That is awesome. I totally agree. I've heard some things that give me questions so I wanted more details.

Quick question, I need to know, have you ever been like, STARVING, all the time while healing from surgery?

Because man, feels like I'm hungry all the time and its not just in my head haha.

This is amusing since Tulsky has been on record multiple times that goaltending hasn't been the thing keeping this team from getting over in the playoffs.

Thank you! I am healing very well, not quite at normal but I feel SO much better compared to before the surgeries. ❤️

Your parenting techniques will likely have to be different compared to what they might be with a child you raised from a baby.

Also don't be afraid to learn from your kids. I've learned so much about being strong and confident from my daughter, as wild as that sounds.

She is the strongest person I know, hands down, no question.

Just remember, ALL children from the system are children of trauma.

Well goalies ARE kind of a toss up. Just wanna pass on Hart.

Its special because its a family that we all chose to be a part of.

Any concerns that you don't get a chance to shape them are just flat out incorrect.

I have seen such a change in my daughter since we've adopted her, and she was almost 15 (2 months shy) when we first met her.

You still have a ton of influence on who they'll be when they're an adult.

If you want a family but either don't want or can't afford a baby, consider adopting a teenager. It has been the most rewarding thing in my life.

Added benefits:

1. If they're over 13, they have to consent to the adoption.

2. If they're over 13 when you adopt them, the state gov pays for college.

Yeah I'm still recovering from two major surgeries in the span of a month, so I know what you mean.

Just don't want to deal with dumb, unnecessary hockey drama. Just let us be excited for our new additions.

Yeah I just don't want to deal with the drama. TDA was exhausting.

I just want to enjoy my hockey team.

Or maybe someone from Edmonton lol.

7 months ago 1 0 0 0

Maybe so, but why would they have more confidence in an average goalie that hasn't played in two years? 🤔

7 months ago 2 0 2 0

Yeah the entire trial, just wasn't sure how to phrase it.

Awesome, thank you very much. I really hate it when people make decisions on things without knowing everything (or ignoring pertinent information) so I try to avoid it myself.

And if they really didn't do anything wrong, they're still labeled as rapists the rest of their lives.

Stuff like this frustrates me because it makes it 10 times harder for people who are actually assaulted to be believed.

7 months ago 0 0 0 0

Like wasn't she legitimately egging them on?

Why on earth would you agree to everything, ON VIDEO, and then try to sue for sexual assault later?

Its not that I don't believe survivors, I just know that people also lie. Like the Duke LaCrosse player debacle way back when.

I'm struggling to figure out why we would sign Hart when we have SIX goalies under contract?

Does anyone have a good link to ALL of the details of the Carter Hart stuff?

I didn't follow it along but I despise just going along with what everyone else says without doing research first.

Lol it was the screen play list.

Still makes sense.
