That’s a whole different ballgame. I would have all kinds of advice for that person, but I would need to know lots of details first that are specific to their situation.
Hey, I wouldn’t date a Christian either, unless they were the non-practicing, anti-religious kind.
I would be smart enough not to engage in a discussion with the person I was rejecting. 1.bc it’s none of their business, 2., bc I would try not to hurt them; 3 bc it would lead to this kind of garbage.
He doesn’t owe her anything; that’s the exact point I’m making. But if you’re going to choose to give an opinion, you can expect other people to react to that opinion and their opinions might not mesh with yours.
There’s no morally questionable discrimination about dating. You can — and in fact should —discriminate against anyone for any reason under the sun. You can not like the way they look, you can not like the way they smell, you can not like the way they cut their meat. It doesn’t matter.
I think they’re frequently not as capable of learning adult skills as easily as other adults who don’t have autism or severe mental health issues.
This is a red herring anyway since the guy at issue didn’t mention any special issues he might have.
Obviously, I’m talking about adults who are capable of learning adult skills.
It’s too easy to complain you’re a “victim” when you haven’t bothered to learn very basic adult skills, such as knowing when not to spill every thought, knowing when to walk away and not engage.
What I’m trying to say is that they are capable of it and should learn to do it. It’s something that is an acquired skill.
Learn not to be manipulated in social situations into saying things you don’t need to say. It’s part of learning how to be an adult and taking charge of your own life.
Go ahead and guess.
I think it was an easily avoidable situation of the kind that all adults should be able to manage.
However, having screwed it up, he certainly shouldn’t back down and he probably needs to find some better friends.
She could demand all she wanted. He could have simply walked away. Easy peasy.
Lol. I don’t see either party as a victim.
There’s nothing at all wrong with his reasons. But he unnecessarily opened himself up to other’s judging his reasons when it actually would have been kinder to be silent about them in the first place.
It was only an awkward position because he allowed it to be. Everyone is capable of shutting down a conversation if they need to in social situations.
One hundred percent agree, but he was pretty stupid of him to give her any reason why he didn’t want to out with her, and especially stupid, to give her the real reason in this case.
“I’m sorry, I’m not interested” IS ALWAYS good enough. It’s good enough for women, it’s good enough for men.
DC Mayor Muriel Bowser has posted statement saying:
“American soldiers and airmen policing American citizens on American soil is UnAmerican”
I would like to be not near DC right now. Cornwall or Devon would be best. This photo came up on my phone the way iPhone’s cycle through your photos and turn them into movie montages.

Carries quite the emotional punch, doesn’t it?
It’s sad how quickly the names and stories are forgotten.
Is there a particular place where they shared the story?
'Hello human, nice to meet you'
My wife and I went for a walk today along the Potomac on the trail north of Great Falls Park heading towards Riverbend.

If he takes any steps in this direction and isn’t immediately impeached and removed, we’re done as a country.
