The EPA gutted limits on carbon pollution from cars and trucks, siding with Trump’s fossil fuel donors over working families. They did this even though their own analysis shows this rollback will raise costs for drivers while making our air dirtier.
Every part of the country has faced extreme weather made worse by climate pollution. Now, President Trump’s EPA is repealing limits on that very pollution. It’s clear they care more about polluters’ profits than our health or future.
This is the most dangerous environmental rollback we’ve ever seen. 🧵👇
They can call climate change a hoax. The facts still remain -- and ignoring the facts will be deadly and costly.
Cute ad campaign. I bet the 72,000 policyholders State Farm dropped in California appreciate the laugh.
We need insurers who aren’t “halfway there”, which means: Paying covered claims. Pricing fairly. Rewarding risk reduction. Protecting people, not just company profits.
Heads are going to explode 💥
Cato Institute just nuked the lie. Immigrants have cut U.S. deficits by $14.5 TRILLION since 1994, slashing the national debt by a third.
All that “immigrants are bleeding us dry” noise? Absolute bullshit.

More and more Americans are voicing their outrage at the tactics being deployed by federal agents in Minnesota. But it’s important to understand the broader implications of what this administration is doing, and the threat it poses to the basic freedoms of every American.
A lot of risk and costs around home insurance in NC -- but a lot of opportunity too.
Bottom line: your home is not insurable if it's not sustainable

Jack Smith: "My fear is that we have seen the rule of law function in our country for so long that many of us have come to take it for granted. The rule of law is not self-executing. It depends on our collective commitment to apply it."
Or people getting pied in the face. That was an epic trend.

The first week back from holiday break has been five Mondays in a row...
They don't serve Americans. They aren't interested in public safety. THIS is domestic terrorism
THIS is how a President responds:
I have eschewed the Real ID because it's redundant. I have a passport, that should suffice. Took my passport with me on a recent trip to Hawai'i.
With the chaos of an underfunded and understaffed DMV...$45 doesn't seem so bad.
But TSA will still likely ban me after they review my social media.
North Carolina had the steepest staffing cuts to any state environmental agency since 2010. With the federal EPA facing a 55% budget cut, it's a "recipe for disaster" for the environment and public health #ncpol

First holiday gift order snafu of the season. Delivered to the wrong house. But apparently, the sender put a different name and address on it.

I don’t know if a country can be good. Probably not. But a country can be better than this.
They brought back ICE before they passed a budget #ncpol

Multiple sources have confirmed that ICE/Border Patrol is headed back to the Raleigh and Durham areas for undefined deportation actions. We've heard 50 ICE agents, charter flights and hotels booked for all of them in the Raleigh area.
Let us know what you hear.
Remember when there was such a thing as a ‘slow news week’?
I worked in my college‘s student publication department all four years. My dad worked at a tv news station for 30- I very much remember the reaching and struggle for something to fill a spot/time.

The U.S. is the world’s leading producer and exporter of oil and gas. Expanding liquefied natural gas production into Mexico will be disastrous for communities, wildlife, and the future of our planet. Watch the latest episode of NRDC’s podcast What the Earth: https://on.nrdc.org/3XO2sNf
