Love the metaquality of the trailer (remember, WB tried to bury this film) and I want you all to help me make it a hit.
Assuming, of course, Skydance hasn't purchased WB by the release date.

I really like this movie and have seen it several times and would love to watch it with Wayne Wang but, alas, I can't make it.
If you're in SF that night, try going?
I'll tell you. Never been so early in spring with cascades of water falling from everywhere. Unspeakably majectic.

Don't want to sound crazy but I think you're right.
Big fan of National Park Recency Bias so: Yosemite.
I wonder if AI could help him come up with some more metrics?
Sounds like a worthy project.
Which honestly is hard to argue against as Bluesky discourse often reveals. But we should keep trying.
As that-Frank-who's-a-composer also said:
The law cannot protect anyone unless it binds everyone; and it cannot bind anyone unless it protects everyone.
He also said, "There is no such thing as liberalism — or progressivism, etc. There is only conservatism. No other political philosophy actually exists...conservatism has driven every other idea out of circulation."
"Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect."

This is your periodic reminder that Democrats introduced legislation in 2021 to ban gerrymandering nationwide and every republican voted against it except two who were absent.
I fret about movies I can't find and are impossible to watch but in the 70s Martin Scorsese could not watch Vertigo, no matter how much he wanted to.
Yeah. It was spun well, but @wmhenrymorris.com compared D2D to Spotify and that's the comparison that's growing in my mind.
Sorry, but who are "the babies of slaves"?
No, you can't count on it....
So...if I'm reading your correctly. You're going from one setup to three setups? Egad.
Well, I hope enough people do this in the next couple weeks to make them back down.... Because I can't touch this until the end of May.
Yeah, I'm not excited.
In retrospect, the subtitle should've been "Are you solving the problem you SAY you intend to solve?"
I've been thinking about @draft2digital.bsky.social's policy changes and considering whether I still feel aligned with the company.
Sadly, I haven't sold 10,000 copies of Thubrina this year, so they probably don't care what I think.
Of course, if I had, I still wouldn't sell any next year, so....
It takes a certain audacity to survey the US landscape in 2026 and assert that “elites” are intolerant to religious belief. Christian Nationalists have taken over much of the government. @davekarpf.bsky.social
Actually, Dave, I think this is the best evidence for the claim there is.
I feel like you're losing your own thread. I'm having a hard time following you. But at least you know how to curse!
I read your posts backwards. I understand what you mean now, but creating red ghettos across the nation feels like it might backfire.
Things have to get pretty bad first. But post Civil War and post Gilded Age, it happened. We're in another gilded age now. Bad governance leads to the people taking charge. It doesn't require setting up the circumstances for generations-long fighting to improve the US.
They do exist. They have always existed and will always exist. But so do all other sorts of people. It's important to give all their due weight.
