NGL, been pretty depressed lately and pretty unmotivated to really do.... anything. I drew this a few weeks ago and revisited it, coloring it, and felt a great sense of accomplishment having something finished. Hope yall like it. 😅

I'll be at Robert E. Howard Days again this year! The theme is "100 Years of Howard" commemorating his first published story "Spear & Fang". In honor of that, here's a loose portrayal of the protagonist, Ga-nor.

When I'm not drawing or drawing, or drawing, I'm playing Conan Exiles with my queer friends. My character runs a tea shop and has occasional colleagues of sorcery pay him a visit.

Another vignette from my personal world. I hope you find some quiet glade somewhere, where someone will you give you their undivided attention and hear what you have to say.

That video offered some refreshing perspective on the relationship between contrasting shape groups. After today, I'm looking at them as "Host" and "Guest" shape groups.

Those sword and sorcery movie posters went so hard. Gotta raise those expectations.

A four-panel comic called Cartooning Benefits Package. The benefits are: "Vacation Time", showing a cartoonist in the shower. "Health Insurance" shows a failing GoFund Me campaign for a sick cartoonist. "Retirement" shows a cartoonist's gravestone. In the background are tombstones for a musician and a writer. Because this comic is applicable to other creative people and freelancers and that is acknowledged by the inclusion of those other tombstones. (there are always people who chime in about how a joke or comic or post doesn't include their particular field or medium. For gosh sakes, I know it's the same shit-show for all creatives. I'm writing about my field, largely for people acquainted with comics and cartooning. Folks can go write a story or sing a song or design a game about the lack of benefits in their field, I won't bother anyone if they don't mention artists or cartoonists)

Conan. He visited me in my dreams last night. We wandered across an arid, rocky landscape to a rocky desert hilltop. I guess he wanted me to draw him.

Channeling some childhood memories of reading Nintendo Power for the Zelda comics illustrated by Tera-san. Meeting him in LA back in 2019 is still one of my most cherished memories.

This felt like a breakthrough for me. Like, a decade long breakthrough. Felt good to do it.

Those are the best kind of moments. Giving room for what "feels right" in the space.
