Post a song from the year you turned 12:
Hey hey what's the matter with your head, yeah
Hey what's the matter with your mind and your sign and oh
Hey nothin' the matter with your head
Baby, find it, come on and find it
Bear with it, baby, 'cause you're fine
And you're mine, and you look so divine

Senator Alex Padilla is one of the most decent people I know.
This is outrageous, dictatorial, and shameful.
Trump and his shock troops are out of control.
This must end now.
Christmas card from secret Santa
I didnât mention the sweet card đ„°
Christmas gift bag
Gorgeous shopping tote bag with classic Frida Kahlo and a black cat image, also big bottle of lotion and a lovely soap.
Oh Iâm in love! Thank you to my Secret Santa in Otautahi.
Very happy with my Frida and cat bag and lovely fragrant soap and lotion! So thoughtful! đ
You got those paua colours in the background too.

We are up early today as we are MOVING from Southgate in this hellishness. đšđ
After 4 years here, itâs time for (maybe, probably not) less wind in Broadmeadows. At least my bedroom wonât feel like Iâm in the middle of the Cook Strait in a leaky boat anymore.
In amongst all the excitement I fear many have missed this outstanding bit of trolling by Friedrich Merz.
The Chancellor gifted Trump a gilded framed copy of his grandfatherâs German birth certificate... reminding Americans that Trump is both the child and grandchild of migrants.
Seymour's misogyny, & visible contempt for disinformation research(ers) - mirroring context under Trump regime in the US - signals that examining information manipulation threatens certain political narratives - a dangerous precedent for democratic accountability in Aotearoa.
Seymour characterises disinfo research as "a bit of a joke" that "cost taxpayer money". T/his dismissive language provided permission for commenters to escalate attacks. This is how grounded, institutional knowledge gets delegitimised, & women (academics) get silenced.
Yay for your Secret Santa success, Jacquiâs new job and all the other good things.
Iâve made good headway towards being ready for our move across town next week.
Three solid days of sorting, donating and packing.
No injuries, no fury.
Looking forward to $170 less pw for a larger, less windy house.
Excerpt from Stuff article this morning: National MP Chris Bishop called Stan Walkerâs ToitĆ« te Tiritiâ performance at the Aotearoa Music Awards on Thursday a âload of crapâ. Stan Walker was performing MÄori Ki te Ao when he brought performers holding âToitĆ« te Tiritiâ flags and banners on stage. Bishop told Stuff that he was referring to the âovertly political branding on display.â
Imagine being a music fan but not wanting to see politics as part of it. Just means you're a sad racist.
Anyway, Don McGlashan has righfully got a lot of praise, but a big shout out to Stan Walker for making Bishop uncomfortable in the first place.
Toitƫ te Tiriti!

Didn't Nicola Willis swear up and down that she'd resign if the Nats had to borrow to make their numbers add up?
One of the clues in my New York Times mini crossword today was âpesky little twerpâ.
I tried to type in David Seymour, but I didnât have enough letters. #nzpol
Yes!
Former women MPs from all parties unhappy with the process that led to the #PayEquity changes are looking into it themselves.

Pay equity changes: 'People's select committee' formed to gather evidence instead of 'high-flying cliches'

There needs to be legislation that makes lying this much by a politician (especially a senior minister like Willis) a punishable offence.
She didnât tell a single truth in that 25 minutes.

âThey attempt to cast themselves as victims. Yet in reality, their legislative efforts are causing harm to working-class women, including a large cohort of MÄori and Pasifika women.â â Rebekah Graham.
The whole #USA Harvard situation is the death throes of critical thinking, democracy & intelligence itself. THEY WANT YOU DUMB, SILENT & COMPLIANT. Thatâs how they win. Stop letting them win.
This is a WARNING FOR AOTEAROA. This is what the RW want. Itâs NEVER what prosperous societies NEED.

Hannah Maipi-Clarke: â...it was disorderly to bring in a bill like the Treaty Principles Bill.
The problem is not our response to the problem. The problem here is that there is no obligation and no responsibility for MPs in the house to uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi. That is the problem.â
Hear! Hear!
I know that most of us realise that Seymour is an absolute cunt.
The fact that he's come from such a insidious and radical political school of thought should be far more of an issue than it is. The guy's going to be our Deputy Prime Minister FFS

Good or bad?
A friend said they spent too much time hiding behind their hands.
Mata @mihiforbes.bsky.social has a new report out on the (extremely) foreign and domestic influences that lie behind the rise of David Seymourâs Act and itâs a must-watch youtu.be/QLOjiiC3P1Y
That one of the most powerful people in the country, the deputy Prime Minister, is calling for a man who heckled him to lose his livelihood should be setting off more alarm bells than it is
Received my #MWSECRETSANTA gift today! Yay thank you. âșïž
Now Iâd better get mine out the door đŹđ±
Hey world, remember when you thought this was awesome? (Which, by the way, it was). Yeah well she's been suspended for a week now because of it; it's coloniser rules and forms of expression allowed only, indigenous people must only be angry in white ways.

I love all things scented. On me and around me.
Lotions, sprays, soaps, etc.
I would say my favorites would be lily of the valley, rose, amber, vanilla, gardenia.
But canât understand why anyone would like patchouli.
For Motherâs Day I need to share what my beloved son Jackson and his best mate Jasper have been hard at work on. The game is in development now. Check it out and follow on IG pleaseđ
