Tuesday's TIMES: PM 'forced Foreign Office to approve Mandelson job' #TomorrowsPapersToday
I assume it's a reference to the £5 note thing
OMFG I had to go and check that this ACTUALLY happened.
Since when does the BBC ever do chyrons with a political party's branding, rather than their own? Not to mention this is during a pre-election campaign purdah.

I am still closed
@pimlicat.bsky.social on our latest report that shows that a majority of Brits support EU membership:
"There has been a shift, both demographically but also just consciously, from evaluating our two key allies in the world, the EU and Washington, and realising that Europe offers more stability."
@pimlicat.bsky.social explains the findings of our latest report on LBC News.
A majority of voters more strongly support rejoining the EU than they do the government’s current approach to UK-EU relations. 🇪🇺

I have been proudly critical of Mandy for about 30 years
I'm afraid it all stinks. You only had to be paying scant notice to Mandelson's decades long career, punctured with sackings, scandal and sleaze, to know that he was unfit for re-appointment to a Government position. And knowing any of it, you'd ask to see the vetting report at the very least.
@pimlicat.bsky.social and @sturdyalex.bsky.social discuss Best for Britain’s report, “Is it Time to Talk about EU Membership?” - and how, of all people, Donald Trump helped shift the conversation towards rejoining the EU.

The BforB success this week is great news; clearly testament to hard work and a disciplined and sustained focus. But, clearly, strategic intelligence is your 'secret sauce': this stood out in the QR discussion today. Key tactical point now: explanation of 'Join' has to stay consistent and simple.
How lovely of you, thank you.
👀 People on street that won Farage’s energy bills competition say Reform hasn’t paid

Enough of this costly & failed Br-exit… it’s time for Brit-In 👍😊
Wonderful episode of Quiet Riot where Naomi sets out the economic, social & national security case for full fat application to join EU w a seat at the decision making table, rather than a complex less beneficial CU or single market
You, BlueSky people, are probably already registered. But you may know someone who has just moved flat, or in student accommodation, or is wary of interacting with officialdom but would still like a voice.

We asked people in East Wiltshire, the constituency of Danny Kruger, if Brexit was a mistake. Here's what they said. ⬇️

All I’m saying is, HIS NICKNAME FOR DECADES WAS THE PRINCE OF DARKNESS.
You were happy to appoint him knowing that. You cannot be surprised he failed vetting and you should’ve bloody asked.
@pimlicat.bsky.social breaks down the current negotiations with the EU on @lbc.co.uk.
“Our future, and our economic and defence security, lie much closer to liberal international democracies in Europe than they do with an unreliable partner.”
I completely agree
That’s true but not something that can be levelled at Quiet Riot.
A top quality @quietriotpod.bsky.social Sunday school today with a maximalist coming out party/pivot for @bestforbritain.org some utterly maddening BBC news out Daily Mailing the Mail and some top horror film recommendations to boot. @pimlicat.bsky.social and @sturdyalex.bsky.social are in the chair
Stephen we have all had to block Niall a long time ago for being a nasty troll
Extremely normal and fine for a company to put this in a public statement
Really impressed with @quietriotpod.bsky.social podcast @sturdyalex.bsky.social &Naomi Smith @pimlicat.bsky.social .Yes expand the EU to include countries like Canada, N Africa states, UK, Japan etc have a common currency possible change of name.
Busy Sunday 😅. Up early to do Quiet Riot socials and for LBC, then to the gym, then back for LBC News, then meal prepped an entire week of food, and now off to walk the dog and meet friends and then my aunty. Then listening to @tom-brufatto.bsky.social on Times Radio later.
