Garrity’s lobbying work draws scrutiny in Pa. governor’s race Her work for a defense contractor involved influencing policy, but she never registered as a lobbyist. Critics say she may have met the legal threshold.

Stacy Garrity has taken credit for federal laws benefiting her company, which sells materials used in arms manufacturing. Ethics experts say she may have broken (mostly self-enforced) lobbying law; her campaign says that misunderstands her job's duties.

The Internet's Most Powerful Archiving Tool Is in Peril As major news outlets cut off the Wayback Machine, journalists and advocacy groups are rallying to protect the Internet Archive’s vast collection of web pages.

Individual journalists of all stripes are pushing back on efforts by news publishers to prevent WebArchive aka The Wayback Machine from archiving work done by reporters they employ. As someone who often uses the archive, I whole heartedly agree.

PA governor race: Garrity trails Shapiro 10-to-1 in fundraising Stacy Garrity, Pennsylvania’s Republican gubernatorial candidate, raised just $1 million to Josh Shapiro’s $10.5 million.

The top line? Shapiro is ahead in fundraising in a big way -- partially because some conservative groups see Garrity's challenge as a lost cause. You can read the whole analysis, done with @jaxonwhite.bsky.social here:

All fair points! I'd just note that the article in question was attempting to summarize a dozen+ races and not focusing on just Vitali.

Apologies, I was unsure what you were driving at

The original proposal in question was turned into a Senate GOP transit counter offer. I am sure the House could just revert to a prior printers number to get this bill back but theres a preference to keep a bill so close to the finish line on call if needed.

How PA lawmakers use 'vehicle bills' to fast-track deals ‘Vehicle bills’ allow top Pennsylvania legislators to reach sensitive closed-door deals, then quickly make them law.

I haven't seen it referenced in a memo! But the stripping out of ideas is not an uncommon phenomena because of the practice of vehicles bills.

If you have an allegation you'd like to make about Vitali's challenger you are welcome to use your voice to do so, but a clear motive doesn't equal evidence.
