We show how phase field models can be used to explore evaporation regimes of polymer solutions and find a surprising pervasiveness of diffusion-limited evaporation.

Excited to see this work, that started as a Zoom collaboration at the end of covid, online now. We show that the evaporation of water droplets in an optical trap under IR laser irradiation follows two size-dependent power laws 🔵🔆🔬
