I’ve never stared a repo faster in my life, that looks awesome!
So, I made a thing. Vitest running React Native in emulators/simulators, without mocking. This strategy will I hope close the gap in testing React Native apps, where mocking-based strategies have been leaving large holes in test coverage throughout the ecosystem: github.com/pzuraq/vites...
I love pushover ♥️! Thank you so much for the service!
I built a site to improve the experience of buying theatre tickets, letting you see prices on all dates at once: www.theatreninja.com
I do use London Theatre Direct as my provider, so for some shows prices are higher than direct with the theatre, but we also have offers with best on market prices.
A screenshot of the official Inter Alia ticketing showing a seatmap with prices ranging from £17.5 to £278.5
Just a note, the screenshot is from London Theatre Direct (a reseller), not the official site, and they include commissions.
The official prices are still very high, but a bit lower.
Sometimes reseller have cheaper prices/offers, but for some shows like this they can be more expensive.
Oh ok I see your point now, I thought we were talking about mostly about cases where sales “forced” accounts onto the enterprise plans based on usage without proper justification, not necessarily the segmentation of offering (which I agree is sneaky and was definitely intended)
Jesus fucking christ.
Fair, I think what I meant is that these stories hurt their brand and felt very out of character with the rest of the companies actions, so I like to think it wasn’t a strategy but more related to sales/the way sales was managed, but maybe I’m just naive 😅
I know their sales have bad reps and have been known to force people to buy expensive plans. However I do believe that’s not by design, and they’re trying to fix it. For example they’re making everything they sell available without a contract: blog.cloudflare.com/enterprise-g... 🤞
That gives me way more faith that their pricing model is likely to "stick" rather than getting rug pulling price hikes.
The lock in is also not too bad, @theatreninja.com is React Router hosted on CF, and I could move it to a bare metal Node without too much issue (at least for now 😅)
I'm definitely in that situation (love Cloudflare, avoiding Vercel), but I base that on their architecture being fundamentally different letting Cloudflare being much cheaper. It's not Cloudflare "subsiding" their service, it's just it being architected in a way that let them be cheaper.
I thought this was filmed with a real camera until it started rotating xD
I got a Roli learning piano and I managed a whole 2 months before stopping now it’s on my desk right next to me 🥺
They can also write skills, rewrite them etc… they can also write code that contains prompts and instructions for an LLM. It’s been quite a while since LLM get confused by just reading things. Prompts injection requires a lot of weird thing to get working these days ☺️
A screenshot of the seat map for Les Miserables on the website theatreninja.com showing the seat map using a gradient from a very bright light green to pink, going through blue
I use almost this exact gradient with HSL interpolation for the price range on @theatreninja.com seat map 😊
did you know? the google forms share icon has a stray pixel in its corner
why? because the icon spritesheet has a massive black triangle overlapping the icons
what is that triangle? it's a giant out-of-bounds hat!
Agreed! I remember getting one and adding support for Facebook messenger (which worked with an open protocol but wasn’t supported by default) to the provided messaging app by editing the JS of the app directly 😅
This work is so important that I reinstalled Bluesky to support it. Shoutout James and the rest of e18e for their thankless work making the web a better place
I definitely agree with the principle, but CF Workers/D1/R2 specifically are dead cheap, the $5/month plan included use likely include all the use you could wish for, and you don’t need to deal with sysadmin + it will scale for bursty loads if needed
🫂💛
I booked that SO FAST 😅
Wanted more food, double the houses, double the food xD

I'm chuffed to bits to be launching talat.app - 100% private, 100% on device realtime meeting transcription and summarisation.
Think Granola, but none of your data ever leaves your device, and without your every interaction being tracked.
The beta launches today: macOS m-series chips only for now
Makes sense to me! Also React 19 isn’t that much of a breaking change in most codebase IMO (but maybe I got lucky)
Love the The Reckoners series from @brandonsanderson.com in that genre, highly recommend ♥️
