I've been here before. The feeling that the work piles on, and that there's no end in sight. but it's always been treated with the assurance I was getting paid. That's not been happening lately. many contracts have stalled and I've been trying to endure.
But the spark is not gone. it's never gone.
I have been trying to treat this by lightening my workload after hours. I would normally write scripts or develop stories or ideas. but instead of rest, I'm having to devote energy to staving off the guilt of not just getting back to it.
But forcing myself has always produced garbage.
The frustrating thing about burnout is that you don't fully disengage from your creative side. there are things you want to do. projects you want to work on. the burning desire to get up and do it is still there.
and then you sit in front of the work.
and you wonder where that feeling went.
Someone gets it.

Unfortunately, this commissioner took advantage of an arrangement I had with a VA to get free work out of me. doubt I'll do another.

I First came up with this particular design of sheep drone in 2020 during covid for my audio. There were a lot of different sheep designs before then, but my take had a smooth dome pulsing colors that made it stand out, and was vaguely feminine in shape. Here's the earliest artworks.
