Dictators can only be dictators through a little army of bootlickers and hypocrites enabling them

Putin isn't the only one crying tonight...

And with a bit of luck, many other right wing authoritarian billionaires will be falling pretty soon...

A fresh wind is in the air...

A lot of them are due to fall pretty soon...

And to be honest, I suspect very much that all those authoritarian dictators wannabe, all have to thank the orange man in the white house for having shown to the world just how pathetic and evil the modern billionaire colluded right wing is

Well... She didn't...

She's just pointing out what should really be obvious but it so often isn't: big sloganeering and easy solutions are rarely the panacea they pretend to be...

Once again, dear Starmer...

Does he really think that doing this will get him back on trump's good book?

Has he still not learned that attempting to appease the unintelligent and uneducated just doesn't work?

What a pathetic state of affairs for the once mighty president of the united states...

Well, investments to support a green transition is a positive thing

I guess the question is the check and balances that come with this grant

Is there any conditions agreed with unions? On hiring of wages? Or requiring Tata to match the investment, or keep all production lines on British soil?

Yes

In fact you can go well beyond the UK for examples

Populism and division seem to be extremely fashionable across the entire "western world"...

1 week ago 0 0 0 0

Yes, that is a far more convincing result than this one

In fact that election is exactly what we must try to replicate: about 400 voters switching sides from reform to greens

Reform: 1400 votes โžก๏ธ 1000
Greens: 1000 votes โžก๏ธ 1300

Ah ok ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘

I thought you were suggesting that the green win was because of the low turnout as opposed to voters switching sides...

Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to drink a celebratory pint tonight tho!

For councils in the "reform belt" like this one, the key question is how many reform voters will be persuaded to vote greens?

In this election reform lost only 200 votes, from 1900 to 1700 and by the looks of it they all went to greens

Had that not happened, greens would have been a close second

Totally

But here the greens won a lot of reform votes too, I think about 200 votes or so looking at the previous elections (I had the numbers earlier)

Had that hot happened, greens would have been second, so, again, I'm not sure how "repeatable" this results is in other similar councils and wards
