I think I have a cheap acoustic guitar at my in-laws I can happily give you if they haven't done anything with it. Tho it may be a bit large for him to play (hecks it a bit big for me xD)

This is my time to shine xD I recommend starting with a ukulele, easier cords to learn and the technique is simpler. Plus a bit less expensive than a guitar to start off with. For learning cords, YouTube videos if he is a visual and auditory learner, if not then get a beginner's book.

Most are cut out. Still got about two metres to cut tho! Super excited to start putting them all together. 💫
