This fucking traitor got paid over half a million dollars by AIPAC. He just cast the single vote that gave Trump the Iran war.

Meanwhile, the typical American will pay a federal income tax rate of 14.5%

This is what a rigged system looks like.

It's just a small thing, easily missed. Simple details, worn with use. But it reminds me of the journey I have been on from there to here. Living all over the country, losing everything, living out of our truck. Returning from that to own the roof over our head, at our age, was not part of the plan.

As a product designer in 2004 I made an art deco dragonfly doorbell for Lowes, HD, Ace & Target. I did a prototype out of cast broze, kept it all these years in the hopes that someday it would go on my own house, on my own door.

In 2021 I kept that promise to myself. I look at it each time I go in.

This man presents us now with a tremendous opportunity for repairing and undoing the hellish damage he & his christofascist heritage cult have done.

Trump's popularity across the political spectrum is arguably at its lowest ebb right now. Vought -- the architect of his administration's most unpopular policies -- is appearing before 2 committees this week. This would be a great opportunity for Democrats to do some real, lasting damage.

Trump Isn’t Building a Ballroom When Trump announced a $300 million ballroom at the White House, something went off in my brain.

9 stories beneath the "big beautiful ballroom" a Presidential Emergency Operations Center (PEOC) & secure intel/AI facility is being built. Everything down there will be covered under executive privilege, ending congressional oversight, rendering FOIA useless.

Taking into account all the new data centers and "detention facilities" that our taxpayer dollars are buying lately, including the giant data center under the new ballroom, I would say it won't be long before we see a lot more of them. You can't cross the street in the UK without 3 cameras on you.

Virginia has a special election on April 21.

If the referendum is approved, Virginia will temporarily redraw its congressional map to fight back against GOP gerrymandering in Texas, Florida, Missouri and North Carolina that is stealing House seats.

VOTE YES to fight back! 👊

Although I am reminded of this my art teacher and mentor told me many years ago & which has lived in my brain since:

If you steal from one source, its plagiarism. If you steal from many sources, it's research. 👍

I have been using this for a while in my plurk and now here a few times, though I originally started doing DIY Adventures on my vlog. I have made a lot of changes to content and presentation over time, especially with my RL changes. I have had to slow down on the major house renovations.

Now, that being said, I will use a lot of reference images and research the look I want, in this case something very indiana jones/superman comic looking for the lettering.

That one took me a about a day and a night on and off, but I kept working the next morning.

I have been an illustrator all my life, doing signs, logos and billboards by hand, then using rubylith & exacto knives and negative cameras & copy machines before the digital age.

I spent many hours painting in photoshop, adding many a layer to try to get the placement of the tools right, the proportion to each other. I have some tools I did not use in the final. I do not use AI to edit my images or create content. The stupid amount of time I spend to not do so is how I work.

DIY Adventures Logo showing tools and implements of construction. In this episode, we are restoring a couple of original plant beds for the front entry and put our ferns up in new homes. I moved and spread out 6 bags of topsoil and 12 bags of black wood mulch, planted about a dozen plants, put up fencing, transplanted & hung the Kimberly ferns on 3-way chains I made for the new buckets.

Today is International Beaver Day.

Please celebrate responsibly, or at least act like you give a dam.

Absolutely! I love it because it's also an insane amount of creative talent packed into one very accessible community of people. Unlike some of the larger artist communities like Deviant Art, or Discord, Reddit, etc. you can go beyond messaging to a more personal & direct contact. Uncanny, indeed.

Embracing AI is like pumping the bellows for a blacksmith making a set of shackles for you to wear that the wealthy have convinced you is the only way we can walk around free.
