This tweet is highly defamatory and Martina Navratilova should be fired from BBC Sport for it.
It demonstrates an horrendous level of hatred for a trans woman (who was cleared of all wrongdoing in a recent tribunal) because she is a trans woman.

For the seven years I did work there, they made lots of mistakes but people on the inside were genuinely trying to do their best and make positive change. I’m sure the few who are there now think they are doing the same, despite…..what they keep doing and saying in public.

BBC News is going very hard on its investigation into advisers who help people ‘fake’ asylum claims, focusing especially on people who falsely claim to be gay. But it doesn’t say what percentage of claims are made on the basis of sexuality. As of 2023 — the last available figures — it was 3%.

You can make anything, and I mean anything, sing. Unfortunately, the only way to write is to write. I remember a Vivian Gornick article about all the gymnastics she did to set herself up to write her book. She needed the perfect desk, the perfect light, the perfect life. While she busied herself with all these preparations, the time for writing never came. Relatable, right? The truth is, you can write anywhere, anyhow, on scraps of paper, while you are bored, miserable, or half dead. So sit the fuck down and write your goddamn book.
