Though numbers are small, every patient who was MRD positive at baseline had DFS event.
Rather than longer treatment, could one argue for treating these people like asymptomatic metastatic: close surveillance and initiate therapy at the time of measurable/symptomatic disease?

I think TKIs can be excellent palliative agents, but are less useful in curative settings. The very best of them are debatable as adjuvant treatment, and will struggle more in neoadjuvant where the duration of exposure is shorter.
