It’s not whether the calendar refreshes, but whether Things is allowed to refresh and update its widget with the latest info. No guarantee of that, and there are even situations where iOS actively blocks non-Apple widgets from trying to refresh if they update too often.

Thanks for your feedback! An issue here is that your events aren’t actually stored in Things—the app merely pulls them from Calendar when you open the app. This would lead to events being stale. So for now we wouldn’t do this, but thanks for letting us know you’d like some deeper integration!
It uses AppleScript - the first thing is that an app has to add AppleScript support (this has nothing to do with Things itself) and then Things has to be updated to retrieve data via AppleScript. As you can imagine, we don’t do this for all apps—there are many hobby apps and we can’t add them all.
We don’t have anything to announce about another major release – for now, Things 3 continues to receive our full support. We don’t offer student discounts, but we do participate in Apple’s education program: culturedcode.com/things/suppo...
It’s something we plan to discuss, but a change isn’t imminent, sorry!
No plans for that at the moment, but thanks for letting us know you’d like it!
Thanks for your feedback! Will pass it along.
Not at the moment but I’ll pass your request along. Thanks for your feedback!

The fastest way to enter a date/time, if you’re not aware, is to yank down inside the black popover and type it with natural language - e.g. “tom9” is understood as tomorrow at 9 am, or “sat9” for Saturday at 9.
We opted to conform to the standard system placement in this case. Sorry about that!
You’re welcome, Kris!

No plans for it at the moment, but it would be good to do. Thanks for your +1!
No plans to add this at this time, but thanks for your feedback! You might be able to achieve some of what you want by parsing the to-dos contents yourself with a Shortcuts automation: culturedcode.com/things/suppo...
So glad you’ve been enjoying Things!
Glad it’s okay now! 🙌
Hmm, no, there were no widespread issues. Is it okay now?
No problem, Olav!
Glad to hear it’s been working so well for you!
You can read more about the back end in the other post we linked to: swift.org/blog/how-swi... - for specific questions, drop us a message: things.email - like before, there’s encryption in transit and at rest, but no E2EE: culturedcode.com/things/suppo...
Thanks, Jesper!
This was a rebuild of the existing features, but it lays the groundwork for further development.
