Happy International Day of Archaeology from the site of Fort Brewerton and the Oliver Stevens Blockhouse Museum!
That's a wrap on my OV 100 mile challenge! 105 miles trekked for the summer. Wolf Pond in the photo.
Putting the cost of AI expansion on consumers rather than the data centers that will consume most of the expanded base load.
Today we should celebrating my son's 34th birthday, but 11 years ago he took his own life. Check in on your friends and family. If you're in a dark place, reach out to someone. You are loved. The world is a better place with you here.
These past weeks, my crew and I have been conducting data recovery on roughly 8 acres of land slated for development. The information we have uncovered will change the narrative related to the right flank of the Battle of Sackets Harbor.
Yes it's a gun. It's an air pistol.
We started our data recovery this week of part of the Sackets Harbor Battlefield (1812). First day's trash haul.
Follow the money.

Today we started our GPR survey of French and Indian War era Fort Brewerton with the Brewerton Historical Society and TerraSearch. The work was funded in part by the Robert E. Funk Memorial Research Foundation. Stay tuned for results!
Franklin B. Hough (1822 - 1885) was widely considered the “Father” of Forestry in America and the first head of the U.S. Division of Forestry, pre-dating the Forest Service by decades, with a quote attributed to him stating “Men need to be taught that we have no moral right to follow blindly an instinct that leads only to present personal advantage ... that we are but tenants of this beautiful earth, not owners in perpetuity; and that we have no right to injure the inheritance of those who succeed us, but rather a duty to leave it better for our having occupied it our allotted time.” The theme “All of Us” is proclaimed at the top, with the subheading #AltCitizen. Franklin B. Hough’s name is spelled at the bottom and his portrait is featured at right: a black and white portrait of Franklin B. Hough wearing a collared dress shirt, tie, and jacket, and white beard in the style of men in the 1870s. The logo for the AltGov coalition is in the lower left hand corner, featuring a stylized raised fist of solidarity.
In 1873 Dr. Franklin B. Hough saw the need to protect forests from overexploitation. He wrote a report "On the Duty of Governments in the Preservation of Forests” calling for forestry schools and laws to protect & regulate forests. He championed stewardship over dominance.

Did they ever stop to think destroying small business is the point in all of this? Nothing wannabe monopolists hate more than competition.
To correct an earlier post, 988 is being shut down for LGBTQ+ services. It will still exist for general suicide counseling. That said, I'd like to know how they're going to make that distinction over the phone.
Right, by inviting Zalenski to an Oval Office shakedown and telling him he "has no cards" and needs to surrender.
Don't tell me the GOP hasn't done the same thing through their PACs and especially the NRA.
youtu.be/mEfpwAL9VQw?...
We seriously need to bring the term ICEhole back into our lexicon.
'Cause that's what WARFIGHTERS do. Oooo-ra.
How the hell are they going to determine that over the phone? Grill them about their sexuality first??
The right-wing narrative is that all information, including data collection, is driven by a nefarious agenda- political or monetary or both. Conspiracies are everywhere. Any science that is paid for- is suspect. So they tend to only believe science that reinforces their existing world view.
Why pass legislation when your Congress is letting you rule by fiat.
I'm sure this will get all the urgency of the DOJ of campus antisemitism and burning Teslas.
The bribery business is booming.
What's going to be left to save when the state and everyone in it are bankrupt?
They voted for chaos. They got chaos.
Wait till these people get their retirement investment statements next month.
Or buy some Trumpcoin.
"Were" planning.
