They also used to have a park and ride option that they disbanded
People also don't ride transit because it's slow and unreliable leading to lower ridership....
This would include way more family doctors (esp in rural communities) and way more support staff (nurses, techs, etc).
This will cost billions
But will save trillions over a generation

The entire health system needs an overhaul to focus on preventative medicine (including luxury bones-teeth- and eyes)

The city (&province) have a responsibility to ensure EVERYONE has access to a permanent roof over their head. Key word: PERMANENT
not shelters, not couch surfing, not temporary tiny homes until people 'get their feet under them'

Canada is in dire need of election reform. Many don't vote because their vote doesn't matter - & if I can't vote for who I really want, they're not all wrong.
Trudeau.2 promised reform but didn't deliver and I'm willing to bet Carney won't either - which leaves young Canadians feeling the brunt 3/3
Because we're "first past the post" voting, many Canadians (me included) feel the need to vote strategically instead of by the heart. And this means the NDP often do poorly (the greens hardly at all, let alone any differing opinions) 2/3

I love the NDP (esp this new version brushing close to socialism) but I rarely vote that way - and it's because of our election system 1/3
Getting a better job isn't easy. They all require degrees. And many can't go back to school. Can't get loans due to a lot of issues.
Why shouldn't someone be able to survive (basics) on min wage?

I hear the same argument - min wage isn't meant to survive on, it's meant for kids to get their 1st job.
My question is - if meant for kids, why are so many seniors working it?
If for kids - where's your coffee during school hours?

With an increase in min wage you're going to get the complainers - whether they're moaning that it's ridiculous kids are earning so much, or it's (rightfully) that this is not nearly enough to live in NS. 1/3
