I was just watching national news on TV and they talked about a hate crime against pro-Israel protesters for 3 minutes while only talking about Jonathan Joss and the anti-gay hate crime for about 15 seconds. Even the news is trying to lightly skip over the hate crimes towards queer people

I actually cried reading this. This world we live in is not accepting of anything even slightly different from the heterosexual norm, and I wonder if it ever will be. Queer people are persecuted. I don’t feel safe where I live even tho I only believe in love and being true to myself. Hate hurts
