hell yeah, following along in this thread! it seems to me that the biggest investment would be in a solid overhanging roof to get as much protection from direct rainfall as possible . Obviously wind is a thing, but I imagine if it gets hit hard, you just have to do some touch up work.

Took me forever to figure out how to get to this thread. Yep - the LA fires definitely put the conversation into a more mainstream spotlight. Fire resilience of natural cob, adobe, etc. and also addressing the desperate need of controlled burns.
