I strongly believe only together can we be successful to make quantum internet technology a success and secure Europe's leadership in this transformative field. Let's continue building this future together - with and for Europe

Taking quantum networking from science to technology is - as with all technologies - a team sport where not one individual, group, institute or even member state can succeed on their own.. 3/n

Very many thanks also to the Körber Foundation and of course my many collaborators across Europe, most significantly in our joint QIA @eu-qia.bsky.social over the years. I would also like to say thanks to the NWO vici program and the @ec.europa.eu quantum program for their continued support 2/n

Very excited and humbled to receive the Körber European Science Prize - still taking it all in...

In this context, i would like to highlight the support of the @erc.europa.eu (see below) which was instrumental in allowing me to establish my group in Europe

Yooki and the Union of the forest The story of Yooki and his friends has been developed to explain to children aged 7-9 what the European Union is and how it all started.

My daughter (almost 5) has become a great fan of yookie the little firefly...looks cute but honestly a brilliant introduction to conflict resolution 101 www.consilium.europa.eu/en/yooki-sto...

A young woman with blonde hair, wearing a white t-shirt, sits by the window of a train, smiling as she looks outside at a scenic coastal view. She leans on a black backpack placed on a small table, which is covered with an EU flag. The train interior has blue seats. Overlaying the image is bold white and yellow text that reads: 'APPLY FOR A FREE TRAVEL PASS!' In the bottom right corner, there is a small European Union emblem.

If you have kids, you will indeed discover they have memories from at least 1.5 and up once they can talk with you..... My conjecture is that they are encoded in language we no longer speak when we get older. A language of unidentified emotion and unspoken magic, a different perception of the world.
