“So, see you next week?” Andrew said, when they had arrived at David’s car. “Yeah, would you-” David was interrupted by Andrew’s phone ringing in his pocket. He quickly fished it out of his pocket and groaned when he saw Jake’s name on the screen. “Sorry, I have to take it or I might lose my best friend card.” Andrew was joking, for the most part. “What is it?” Andrew asked, pressing the phone to his ear. “It’s an emergency!” Jake’s voice blared in his ear. “Stop calling not knowing what to watch on TV an emergency, Jake.” They have had this discussion many times before. “It is, though!” Andrew sighed. He would now have to listen to Jake meticulously list every option on streaming and broadcast to him, just to have Jake decide he would rewatch The Office for the millionth time.

Andrew and David were still grinning at each other when the instructors called on everyone to get behind their stations. They started off with some simple sides and snacks for in between meals again and Andrew never realized just some cucumber sticks with different dips could be this tasty. His cutting skills were still lackluster, however. “This one kind of looks like a heart,” David pointed at one of Andrew’s horribly crooked cucumber pieces. Andrew picked it up to take a closer look. “I think it looks more like a butt.” How he managed to cut something straight like a cucumber into such a weird shape, he couldn’t tell you. David choked on a laugh and Andrew’s face turned beet red. Why did he say that? “I never realized how similar these two things look, I guess.”

I finally finished chapter 5, yay! For some reason this one gave me a lot of trouble, haha

Help! Can you guys tell me some dishes you think would be easy to cook for a beginner, but still teach them some good basics? I swear this is relevant to my current WIP 😭

The funny thing about picking up writing again is that you start reading books with completely new eyes, like HOLY SHIT

All of a sudden I notice all those tiny things where I'm like "Oh, this reads a bit repetitive" and "I would probably rephrase that" 😅

I'm going to put all the fun romance tropes in my book and no one can stop me!
