This is a deliberate tactic - to avoid accountability for their thuggery.

Riot police had deliberately left off digits on their helmet's to make it harder to identify them.

4/ Many GMP officers had no shoulder numbers.

The GMP's own Uniform Policy and Dress Standards states that:
"All officers and staff in uniform are required to wear epaulettes clearly showing their collar number on both shoulders at all times."

This is a police force with a culture of impunity.
