The Lyrid Meteor Shower is active April 14–30 and peaks overnight April 21–22, with viewing best after midnight under dark skies. These meteors are bits of debris from Comet Thatcher burning up in Earth’s atmosphere, and the Lyrids are famous for producing occasional brilliant fireballs.

This will sound corny as they are recent and commercial, but one reviewer suggested that my novel KALIVAS! OR, ANOTHER TEMPEST had dialogue reminiscent of Pinter and Beckett, and another thought it like the work of Margaret Atwood and David Mitchell.

Here's the witch homunculus in a Monet-inspired pocket dimension, using her magic to add another stripe to one of my socks. She still won't explain to me why she mildly transmogrifies one of my socks every night.
