I love it when the church tries to fleece my 12 year old out of money.

So glad I'm out of this cult.

Today, my mom discovered that Iran pre-Ayatollah takeover was just as progressive as the U.S. I had her Google photos, and she was floored. She pointed to one where you see teens sitting on a stoop and said, "You could have said this was from my yearbook, and I'd never know otherwise."

Education.

The one that says Priest on it, because it reminds me of a bug. :)

I'mtrying to save money on energy by being inventive with things around the house. One thing I realized is I can wear a blanket!. I draped it over me and put a stitch in it so it would stay on.

I just found out I've rediscovered Greek leisure wear by making a chiton.

US Air Force resumes teaching video on first Black pilots after DEI review The U.S. Air Force said on Sunday it will resume instruction of trainees using a video about the first Black airmen in the U.S. military, known as the Tuskegee Airmen, which has passed review to ensure compliance with President Donald Trump's ban on diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

The #TuskegeeAirmen, an active fighter unit of 450 pilots, were the first soldiers who flew during World War II, conducting more than 15,000 missions

The #WomenAirforceService organized female pilots into the war. They served with distinction.

Their service was historic.

I grow tropical plants indoor for funsies, and let me tell you, I wouldn't want to see the operating costs of a coffee plantation in the US. Even our most suitable "tropical" state just got snow two weeks ago.

I've been using one for years. I'll never go back to anything else! I've also nicknamed it the "Blood Chalice."

Springtails going gaga over an apple core. I also caught two of my worms trading DNA, and I didn't realize it until after I took them. First time seeing a lot of things today!

RBC under a 40x microscope, unstained. If you look closely, a couple of cells have already gone through hemolysis; cell death.

Oh man, do yourself and watch her interviews. I LOVE listening to her speak, and she is so incredibly knowledgeable in her field.

This part of God: An Anatomy by @proffrancesca.bsky.social. This sentence always, always makes me laugh out loud, and I had to annotate why.

Woah woah woah, he was the only one who didn't get swept up in a divine tsunami. Some would say the spirits blessed him lol

The first thing my 11-year old asks me when I picked him up from school was,"Mom, can you tell me about China's One Child Policy?" This kid asks the best questions.

This is so good. I'm glad pharma companies are looking into treating addiction. I heard about the "food chatter" effect that GLP-1 helps silence, and it sounds like this could be so useful to help tamper down on other harmful addictions.

This is awesome! We can never forget the atrocities we commit and the lies we tell ourselves to justify said atrocities.

On the other side of the coin, my 12 year old son insists I sit in on all his discussions with his friends. It's very interesting listening to these kids.

I remember this being a huge issue when I was a kid in the 90s. Everything was about banning aerosol sprays and other pollutants. Then all mention of it was gone. I wish we as a nation recognized more conservation led efforts that have paid off so we can continue improving our situation.

Oh yeah, I caught onto that. I was just laughing at the fact that my first thought was, "Russian assassin or Faerie tea party!"

This line of comments is hilarious, because it sounds like the warnings people used to get when they had to deal with faeries. "Don't eat anything they offer you. Don't follow them. If they tell you to go right, you go left."
