Last 5 days the wind blew 30 mph and we got 3 inches of rain. Very thankful for the rain but it been 40 out and windy. Because of that this day fills like a blessing. Enjoy the day😎

I might have the wrong use for the palm oil but I know it’s coming into the states and being used for some that soy oil was going to be used for. They where build lots of plants to handle the demand and now it gone. It dried up a year ago even before the election.

I will try and get you the information. We have a couple biodiesel plants that are fully funded and ready to be built that have put on the brakes because of it.

As a farmer, most of the oil being used in California biofuels is a low grade palm oil that is in ported. It is the main reason soybeans are below the cost to produce right now. Tariffs are making it very affordable for Brazil to expand acres. Make it fair and take the 2 buck subsidy from big oil

I keep hearing they are Walmarts number 1 competition.

I talk to a friend that went to to DC to lobby for the soybean committee last week. He said they got to meet the president. And said you wouldn’t believe how the group acted around him. They were all like little school girls giggling, and carrying on. Their age is averaged from 40 to 69. #fd

We just came home from touring Texas. Corn around Corpus Christi looks terrible. In 1200 miles I seen two corn planters and one drill rolling. Very little done. Wheat in Oklahoma looks like a bumper and in Kansas it is hurt a little bit.

We’re gonna do one field of beans this week . Start hard on beans next week. Hard to get too motivated when we still have 20s in the forecast for lows.

I just came back from Texas and only seen two rolling from there to SD. 😳
