Beth worked as a doctor for years until a transphobe turned up. Now, she's had to leave her job, leave her home, move to the other side of the world and is still being hounded and harassed by the media and cult.
She did nothing but exist as trans in the orbit of Sandie Peggie.

obvious a.i. slop of a george takei birthday celebration with a TNG cake and his famously close friend william shatner
close up of a picture of the TOS crew, including at least four unidentifiable randos, one of whom is in a TNG uniform
man I hate a.i. slop
TBF I also appreciate the nuance of someone who studies this stuff for a living bsky.app/profile/cohe...
I mean, imagine (gasp!) apartment buildings (swoon!) near a subway stop (faint!) in our nation’s second-largest metropolis (turns into a pile of jelly)
Meanwhile, Metro wants cut $5M from Metrolink operations, which will lead to service cuts that put more cars onto these freeways. Priorities...
Could the state carve out an exemption for private jet fuel?
Because there’s some low hanging fruit that would be pretty popular to tax (and maybe even add to the cap & invest pool!).
Map of Bay Area showing blue and green dots on the map around transit lines. Draft is stamped over it.
MTC has released a preliminary SB79 map for the Bay Area and is taking comments for any technical corrections (such as an eligible bus stop or station entrance not included).
I've submitted comment on missing stops on bus lanes in Berkeley & a BART elevator.

looking good sir
I mean, it’s supposed to mean “build apartments near the subway” but in LA it apparently means “keep my NIMBY constituents’ land values as high as possible by preserving the status quo.”
Forget "total cost of ownership." In the UK, the average EV is now cheaper than the average ICE vehicle, up front. Sticker cost.
And of course the savings just keep accumulating after that.
The fact that Karen Bass dropped her “climate plan” for Los Angeles days before she reaffirmed her commitment to killing local transit oriented development is a sick joke.
And meanwhile the city leaders are working to repeal SB79 and here’s hoping they fail miserably in that attempt, as they do with these ridiculous height limits.
A two-story height limit for transit-oriented development in the nation’s 2nd biggest city. Bravo, Los Angeles.
"When people were discovering radiation—‘Oh, radiation’s really good. We should put radium in everything! We should put radium in beverages!’ We’re in this weird, unregulated moment in AI where we just think it’s wonderful and put it everywhere: ‘Let’s put AI in TVs! Let’s put AI in our furniture!’”
12:43: AccuWeather San Anselmo, CA Lots of green, yellow and red indicating rain across the entire Bay Area
Wow the rain really showed up today in the North Bay. We’re not screwing around here.
Infowars is a cash grab. It's mainstream. It's for jocks!

This is a brilliant idea and therefore it probably has a 0% chance of happening
Yes, I have just done a naked forward roll. But there was a good reason Adrian Chiles
Opinion Homes I've no fewer than 17 wooden spoons. But I have a favourite and I'd miss it for ever if it went missing Adrian Chiles

A virtual lighting rig on the screen appears to be bathing the entire room in white light with rainbow hues glowing around it. The stage is unlit, leaving the band silhouetted. The effect is strikingly beautiful!
An abstract pastel landscape arises behind the band, with a large blue sphere above it in a sort of bending grid at the horizon. The band is once again in silhouette, minimally lit by stage lighting.
Stage lights bathe the band in silvery white light in a pattern that resembles a lotus flower. Above on the screen are large hexagons carved into what appears to be a giant metal wall. Inside these hexagons are carved smaller hexagons, and between those are large diamond shapes that push out from the wall. Again, the effect is of a giant wall behind the band.
A bizarre terrain behind the band that somewhat resembles a skate park, the surface painted in a black and white checkered pattern. On the surface are two solver spheres which reflect the ground before them. In the front sphere, we see a sort of donut shape reflected, rising from the surface.
Even more from night 3. Man, so many amazing and different effects they created!
Phish stands before a folded landscape, mountains and trees folded into a diamond shape, a beautiful golden sky behind.
Acrylic paint forms a pattern on the screen behind the band, colors mixing together to form several hues. At the center of the pattern is a dark space that forms a sort of irregular circle. This image captures the essence of the abstract pieces Phish and Moment Factory were able to create. One could imagine old psychedelic light shows from back in the day trying (and likely not succeeding) to create an image like this.
A mountain landscape of robots on a hillside. The robots appear to be large structures that double as power line towers with kinetic arms that rise and fall. Each robot is lit up as if with giant light strips, and each has a heart inside a square in the middle of its chest. Below the screen and behind the band, green spotlights illuminate the band and the bottom of the screen.
Beautiful geometric patterns (mostly ovals) rise behind the band. The he effect reminds me of Kandinsky’s work, but with the patterns in motion the image feels very kinetic and alive. I’ve seen a couple of Kandinsky’s kinetic sculptures and the effect is similar!
And of course night 3!
Looking up at Sphere screen. A number of miniatures are arrayed on a spinning vinyl record: Jon Fishman as Elvis, skiers, fish with legs (or are they lizards?), an alien in Converse shoes, a sci fi soldier (again, maybe?).
Phish plays below a geometric pattern caused by concentric circles skewed in opposite directions. We can still make out the mountain scene that appeared before the circles turned to form the pattern. The effect is akin to a large bandshell like Radio City Music Hall or the Hollywood Bowl, yet the elements of the previous scene are still visible: trees, clouds, a deep blue sky, and distant mountains bathed in twilight.
Phish on stage as behind them on the screen we see revolving patterns of Phish artwork from the years (all created by Jim Pollock). The art rotates in a way that gives the impression of multiple levels on a giant dome rotating in opposite directions. In the center, what appears to be a crown adorned with the same artwork rotates slowly. The crown and walls appear to be a shimmering metallic substance, and the art appears as if carved into the metal.
Phish plays below what appears to be a classic video game, something between Galaga and Space Invaders. Four screens, one for each band member, are in the center of the game, also rendered as classic video game graphics. At the bottom of the screen, a road stretches off into the horizon. Cactus lines the road and surrounding landscape, and red cliffs are visible in the distance.
