S1 arrived to discover the chairs had quit! We read and listened to what made them angry and thought about solutions. We wrote persuasive letters to the chairs to try getting them back.
The experience challenged our thinking and regular routine. We tried sitting in different places/ways.

Fantastic to see Grangemouth HS at the event and look forward to seeing some players representing Falkirk Schools at the Forth Valley Disability Sport competition in January. 👏
We’re focusing on our Literacy skills with the help of Neila, the Word Detective and our Sentence Doctor. Our focus this week was Problems and Solutions, the impact on stories and our lives. We were able to identify them in stories. @grangemouthhs.bsky.social @lrsfalkirk.bsky.social
We’ve been focusing on strategies to help us regulate and support our learning. The girls searched the craft cupboard for textures that help them for their board. We’re using the boards when things get tricky or to help us focus our attention. @ghslighthouse.bsky.social @grangemouthhs.bsky.social
Congratulations to our S2 Boccia team, 3rd in Forth Valley competition today. Lots of really exciting games, opportunities for us to practice managing our emotions and to socialise with new friends. M and J were a great support and team managers @ghslighthouse.bsky.social @grangemouthhs.bsky.social

Promotional image for a free webinar titled 'Developmental Language Disorder' by Speech and Language UK, featuring a smiling individual wearing a yellow scarf. The event is scheduled for Wednesday 15th October from 3:30 PM to 4:15 PM, with a sign-up invitation.
Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) affects 2 in 30 children, yet many have never heard of it. Because you can’t see DLD, it’s often missed, and support is lost.
We’re running a free webinar for educators ahead of #DLD Day.

We are so proud of our pupils for stepping out of their comfort zones — it’s not easy, but that’s where growth happens 😃 Spotting a Lighthouse too is amazing 🥾 🌊 🐚

We’ve already identified some in our reading & evaluated our knowledge 👽🕵️
