Galbraith practiced conversion therapy in the 1940s-1970s, including using invasive methods like deep brain stimulation, but other approaches for "curing" queer people had already existed for at least a century. (Obviously, this does not negate the point: fuck JK rowling)

I spoke with my good friend Elad Nehorai (@eladn.bsky.social) about the war on trans people. It was a difficult conversation but one I'm glad we had.

The Regime Opens the Door for ICE to Target Anyone Suspected of Being Trans
Under a new rule, the State Dept will be able to revoke trans people's visas over "misrepresentation." It'll give ICE grounds to suspect all trans people of being in the US illegally.

Bureau of Prisons: February 19, 2026 PURPOSE AND SCOPE To establish professional guidelines for the mental health evaluation and treatment of inmates meeting the diagnostic criteria for Gender Dysphoria (GD) to assist their progress toward recovery, while reducing or eliminating the frequency and severity of symptoms and associated negative outcomes.
This week it was uncovered that the Trump regime is trying to "cure" trans prisoners of being transgender, while doing everything they can - from labeling our mere existence as explicit to stripping us of our legal documents - to ensure we *all* end up imprisoned in their ever-growing camps.
1. Horrifying ruling out of the 4th Circuit.
An all-Republican 4th Circuit panel has just ruled that states can compel trans adults to "appreciate their sex" by enacting care bans.
It even directly says that trans adult care bans are legal in the ruling.

Reminder that the argument that won US vs Skrmetti for Tennessee was "we're not discriminating based on sex, we're discriminating based on age and medical condition -- so that's totally fine!" and the U.S. Supreme court said "huh... yeah! that IS fine!"
While @gavinnewsom.bsky.social struggles with basic English grammar, CPAC speakers are cheering for the "eradication of transgenderism", and the president of the Heritage Foundation is publicly claiming their end goal is to outlaw being trans. But right, "talking about pronouns" is the issue.
For those keeping track, in 2025 there were 1,022 bills across the nation proposed to restrict the rights of trans people (126 passed; translegislation.com). In the first two months of 2026, 689 have been proposed.
Dr. Rümeysa Öztürk is using her experience of being unlawfully arrested and detained by ICE to advocate for children facing human-made trauma, including children in ICE detention and living under conflict.
Of all the things we are doing in MN, this one is just beyond. Imagine being released from hell alone in the cold. And a total stranger has waited all night with a blanket just to be ready to hug you and carry you home. Every job we do is crucial, but this one is what restores humanity and dignity.
Maybe you can put your Michigan values into action by refusing AIPAC money next
I’ve been writing Popular Information for 8 years, and this is one of the most important stories I’ve ever published. This is a humanitarian crisis that has gone unreported.
(It was blatant islamophobia)
Maybe the problem is your reading comprehension. The claim was that he is a sycophantic Fox News host yes-man. I didn't say anything about his military background. Seems like you're the one pivoting to adjacent claims.
He directed his former defense secretary Mark Esper to "shoot protestors in the legs or something" in June of 2020. Esper refused to comply with the order, so Trump replaced him in this term with sycophant Fox News host yes-man Hegseth.
Labels like "racist" and "nazi" are typically descriptive based on actions taken. If you voted for a man who openly aligns himself with nazis, and you still support him, you are a nazi. That's not a label. It's a definition. Simply stop aligning with nazis if you don't like being called one.
Exactly. More good non-establishment dem options is a good thing, actually! Being suspicious is not a meaningful critique of policy.
Sometimes being a member of congress is complicated and you have to balance competing interests from your base. It doesn't mean she's bought and paid for. I like Talarico too, but spreading misinfo and muddying the waters helps nobody.
These mean nothing to me. The singular bill she voted for included funding for aid in Gaza and Taiwan (in contrast w Israel-only bills she voted no on). She has consistently pushed for a ceasefire and does not take donations from AIPAC. A photo is a bad look but it doesn't mean she supports the IDF.
You wanna drop a source for that? As far as I can tell you're just straight-up lying.
No, she isn't.

It's not 6 billion to "end" world hunger. The UN provided him with a plan to combat world hunger and feed up to 40 million people on the brink of famine. Misinformation hurts our goals and credibility. It's not hard to verify your claim before you post it.
Every single regent who approved this project needs to be voted out. They showed their true colors during the GEO strike and they are showing them now.
@jordanackermi.bsky.social still waiting for the "transparency" you purport to value as you vote to deprive local communities of basic resources... again
first man in US history to create an AI that is also a nazi 🫠
Can you remind me where in your bible it says to "believe and spread baseless, unverified statements to justify torturing people of color for months"? Which verse reads, "as long as you convince yourself the democrats are doing it too, it's fine"?
Do you have evidence for this? All I can see is Thiel donated ~$7000 to Khanna's campaign & Khanna expressed approval over Peter Thiel coming out at the RNC.
