Addendum: If you recieved an email about BitView or Blips, it is not official and you can safely ignore it.

I apologize for the silence on the return of BitView. Rest assured I am working to bring it back as quickly as possible. I am updating the code (help me) to get it up to an acceptable standard. A few things out of my control (life) got in the way and has slowed development down.

We are hopeful that new leadership will help to push things in the right direction again, and would like to thank you all for your patience. These platforms would be nothing without you, the community, and your wonderful contributions to it over the years.

As a result, it was decided that Bittoco would be dissolved, transferring all of its assets to a new entity. Significant overhauls have begun for both platforms, and much progress has already been made.

This leak did not include any user data, but it still should not have happened. As a result, we've come to the conclusion that our availability and organisational structure is not conducive to a stable nor healthy future for our platforms long-term.

Recently we planned to make important upgrades to our platforms and lay the groundwork for their future. However, in the rush to complete the migration in our little available time, a configuration oversight was made, resulting in the leak of BitView's source code.

You've no doubt noticed that over the last year our platforms have received very little in terms of updates, and that over the last couple of weeks BitView has been down for unscheduled maintenance.

This year will be a fun year for this community as a whole and although I can’t really tell you what we’re planning on what to do this year other than the 2010 update and the relaunch of RetroBook, we will keep you updated on anything as soon as possible.

Although we’ve seen a couple video sharing sites which were made for the community get discontinued (e.g. Tracle and LiiVid) we will strive to bring you the highest quality for any of our products.

When we bought BitView, We’d never knew that the community would’ve come back together.

Personally, We want to thank you all so much for using BitView and our other social media platforms! It means a lot to us that we got people who are heavily ambitious about making and uploading videos onto BitView or sending a Blip on Blips; TYSM!!!

Since the 30th, January 2023, we’ve done a lot of things that has massively improved and changed BitView for the future.

We knew what we were going to do will require a bit of a spring clean (scratch that, a full on renovation) and thankfully we’ve dusted off our computers and got onto work with fixing the site.
