we built societies about this
Posts by opus reticulatum
ive seen it more than once
i run mainly in creative circles and it really is a testament to how this technology is received when even being falsely accused of using genAI is enough to derail or completely ruin your reputation/career
i dont see enough people draw a line between covid and J6 cuz i feel like the two are *definitely* related
tbh i dont think we as a society have truly began to unravel the many consequences of covid, not just the physical loss of life
i dont even know *if* there is a reason that this technology should be allowed to stick around, its been implemented so hastily and so poorly that ive seen no net positive outcome besides people getting mildly educated about copyright law and slapping “no AI” stickers on everything
Bluesky loves the Woke Pope, the pope that says that killing other human beings is wrong and that if people are hungry, you should give them food
...
We regret to inform you that the Woke Pope was revealed to be Catholic
ik i said i wasnt gonna watch the movie but now im REALLY glad i didnt watch the movie on the big screen it probably wouldve made my head hurt
also the movie looks like a Thomas Kincade painting in all the worst ways
ok i finally managed to find some clips of mario movie fox and yea hes a bit chuddish
i am of the firm opinion that unless your job actually entails imbibing social media feeds all day (which isnt that many jobs tbh) you do not need to mainline this shit. some of yall on here make takes that make me genuinely concerned for your mental health
this is what bsky has been sounding like for the past 2 weeks

still a nice piece though
a photo of a waterfall (actually a dam) in the early afternoon sun
photo of the top of the waterfall/dam. there are some branches intentionally bokeh'd in the foreground
photo of a small waterfall. the shutter speed has been intentionally set to make the water look misty and faster-moving than it actually is
wide view of the waterfall/dam. there are swimmers in the foreground along the banks
back on my weekend warrior shit again

happy bday!!
“oh, you’re awake. Thought we’d have to leave you behind after you hit your head pretty hard back there.” “…what? tariff? DEI? Ukraine? what are you talking about? Cmon, lets get some eggs in you…”
it must suck to be an AI researcher, especially one who is trying in good faith to find the least disruptive applications of this technology but its rollout has been so malignant, chaotic, and borderline anti-human that i dont think it will ever be received well, now and in the future
officially a tomodachi life and pokopia hater. not because of fomo, i dont have a switch 2 and i dont plan on getting one but because almost all of my creative mutuals have been entranced by these two games
photo of a ton of greenery underneath an idyllic blue sky. there is a covered bridge on the bottom right of the photo
photo of a preening goose. i managed to get the phot right as it was moving its head. wildlife photography is so hard
photo of a small rapid stream. the shutter speed has been changed to make the water look fast moving
first person perspective photo of a covered bridge in afternoon light
smh everyone knows real techies keep a loaded gun by their printer if it makes a strange noise

at this point the bluesky devs should really take the Claude jokes on the chin but knowing how that one dev reacted to mild pushback from “cartoon pfp perverts” i wouldnt count on anything other than them threatening to just shut the whole site down
rhys finally enjoying the clean air and water after burning down a data center in the background
did florida introduce a new law or is bluesky just jumping the gun?
