Reddit RPG Games and RPG Game Remakes Criticism of Reddit RPG Games and Remakes.

fell down a rabbit hole, apparently the most thorough guides for Baldur's Gate 1&2 are written by a woman who has been thoroughly blogging all her video game opinions since the 1980s.

she gave Baldur's Gate 3 a 2.1/10 rating and scathingly calls it a reddit RPG

While OpenAI claims to have 900 million weekly active users, its own study admits it double-counts people using ChatGPT across multiple devices. I fully acknowledge that a lot of people dick around on ChatGPT, but that doesn’t mean that it’s truly changing lives in the way that people want it to, and I believe the majority of users are using it as a glorified search engine. It’s also very strange that OpenAI talks in terms of “weekly active users,” which is a metric that isn’t really used.

Claude Code is absolutely popular, but Anthropic doesn’t seem to share how many users it actually has, though multiple sources say around 19 million people use Claude in general.

Microsoft Office 365 Copilot has, according to Microsoft, about 15 million users, or 3.3% of the total number of people who pay for Microsoft 365.

While Google claims there are 750 million monthly active users of Gemini, which sounds really high until you remember that a “monthly active Gemini user” could be somebody paying for it or somebody who accidentally clicked the Gemini button in Google docs, and my proof is that that’s exactly what I just did, and this is what I got when I asked if it was Gemini:

Every single Android phone and Google Assistant user is also considered a monthly active user because Gemini is now forced into their “experiences.” What we do know is that, per The Information, Google has 8 million AI workspace subscribers.

Suno claims to have 2 million subscribers. Perplexity has, according to TechCrunch, tens of millions of users, but that also includes people that come through its Snapchat integration and free users of its Pro subscription through partnerships with Uber, Samsung, and Paypal. Harvey claims to have 100,000 lawyers using it worldwide, which sounds impressive until you hear that there are 1.37 million attorneys in America, and a further 376,200 paralegals and other legal assistants.

ElevenLabs has one million registered users. Lovable has eight million users. Re…

To be clear, there’re lots of places to use to burn tokens, but OpenRouter happens to be the only one that shares data.

I’ll also add that nothing about OpenRouter’s stats suggests massive amounts of new adopters of AI in the last year:

In fact, I’d argue that the graph suggests that adoption of AI models is relatively flat, and that the increase in token burn is a result of models using more tokens rather than significant bursts of new startups or customers plugging them in. While it isn’t a unilateral summary of the entire AI market, I think it’s indicative of the actual habits of software developers integrating AI, and the resulting demand for AI token burn.

Even the idea that AI adoption is growing exponentially is a noxious lie. While sites like OpenRouter show a massive spike in token consumption, that's a result of newer models that use way more tokens, especially with newer token-intensive coding models.

So, last week, Samsung announced that OpenAI would be its initial exclusive customer for its latest-generation HBM chips — which was somehow unrelated to OpenAI’s previous allocation of hundreds of thousands of wafers. This deal is apparently for 800 million gigabits of 12-layer HBM4 — which Bloomberg reports will cost $700 for 36GB worth, or around 22.2 million chips that will cost about $15.54 billion in total.

These specific chips will be paired with OpenAI’s Broadcom chips, which is right about when I start doubting the entire thing, okay, I started doubting it right about when I worked out how much all of this would cost.

As I mentioned earlier, Broadcom has yet to actually guide toward any sales of any kind of OpenAI’s chips, and mentioned briefly on the last earnings call that these chips would be sold sometime in 2027. Reuters reports that these chips will start manufacturing in the third quarter of 2026, with a “launch targeted by year-end,” which again doesn’t match up with any of what Broadcom is saying.

I also severely doubt that OpenAI or Broadcom is buying $15 billion worth of RAM, in part because neither company has that much money. OpenAI burns billions of dollars (and as a result has to constantly raise billions more) a year, and Broadcom, as of its latest quarter, had just over $14 billion in cash on hand, and just did a $4.5 billion bond sale in January 2026. I also do not see any sign that OpenAI has made any orders yet, either.

Business Korea shed some light on how big a deal this will be. OpenAI will — again, assuming the deal is real, and not a letter of intent — account for 7% of Samsung’s total HBM production (including previous generations of HBM), and 15% of its sales of HBM4.

I also think it’s very, very silly for Samsung to have hitched its wagon to OpenAI for a few obvious reasons:

OpenAI cannot afford to pay Broadcom for the chips.
Broadcom will have to build a lot of these chips to make this purchase worthwhile.
OpenAI will have to be able to buy a lot of chips, which it cannot.
Even if it could, it would have to be able to install them in a data center, and data centers just aren’t getting built.
One last point, before we move on. That estimated $15.54bn in memory is, almost certainly, in addition to OpenAI’s planned $10bn spending spree on Broadcom-designed (and TSCM-manufactured) AI accelerators, bringing the total to an estimated $25.54bn.

There is no way that either company can pay for this, and I’d doubt that they could even pay for it if they combined their resources.

Last week, it was reported that OpenAI was buying an estimated $15.4bn in HBRAM to go with its $10bn in custom Broadcom chips.

However, OpenAI hasn't ordered any, and Broadcom CEO Hock Tan said none would ship before 2027.

Oh, and OpenAI can't afford them.

As a result of Operation Midnight Hammer, Iran’s nuclear enrichment program was obliterated.
There has been no efforts since then to try to rebuild their enrichment capability. The entrances

We continue to monitor for any early indicators on what position the current or any new
leadership in Iran will take with regard to authorizing a nuclear weapons program.
