I'm considering doing one of those challenges where you have to draw at least once a day... I figure it would help a lot, especially now that I'm taking lessons.

I don't know if there should be a punishment for failure or not, besides just feeling bad...

I've heard Tracing is a fairly good method for learning art. (So long as you never take credit for traced work, of course.)

But when I'm doing it, how should I try and think about it? So far I've been tracing, then redrawing with the material as reference, then finally trying to draw from memory.
