open the correct document, and literally just write the first thing that goes through your brain. even/especially if it's "oh god I don't wanna screw this up." You'll come around to the right thing in a hundred words or so. Takes the jitters away.

Yep I was also a sensory kid with extreme food aversions, AND as it turns out, lactose intolerance + mild allergy to onions. I spent a lot of time facing down whatever we’d had for breakfast cold in the morning, or sitting at a dinner table by myself struggling to “clean my plate.” Ugh.

But seriously, I’m dyslexic and reading takes me an enormous amount of effort. A lot of books aren’t formatted well and have massive blocks of text that are nightmarish to work through.

I have no answers. Right now I’m just trying to engage with art in ways that are fun and low stakes; mostly drawing characters and scenes from the roleplaying groups I’m part of. It’s helping a bit.

It is a fully-engaged, hands-on thing all the time, every day. Most occupations / vocations have some downtime built into them.
I don’t have any coherent or helpful thoughts on how to resolve this or make it better, but I guess what I’m trying to say is that I understand and empathise.
Reading through this thread and I’m feeling very the same about art right now.
Near as I can tell it’s the exhaustion that comes from being a creative in a capitalist hellscape.
The thing with creative work is that if we don’t actually *do* the work, it doesn’t get done. We don’t get idle time.

A sleepy Siamese tabby mix peeks out from the corner of an RV sleeping area from beneath a bunch of pillows. Her name is Moondust, aka Erhiss Meowrn, aka Dusty, first of her name, princess of all she surveys. She survived a 10 hour drive down to the Florida coast with her human and thinks carriers are bullshit. Like the perfect angel she is, she slept most of the way.

pilots are highly trained in dealing with severe weather, and if it's too dangerous to fly, they'll delay or cancel - they'll also divert around any hazards. she'll be just fine <3
