Ibou staying would be great news.

He needs to be more consistent to become the leader we hope he can be, but at his best he’s a world class CB & him staying gives us less to do this summer.

Utter garbage from Donnarumma

Exactly the kind of goal i expected to see Wirtz produce this season in a big game

Wonderful from Cherki

Absolutely delightful way to nick the first Derby at Everton’s new home.

For all the criticism, yet again it’s stalwarts like Salah & VVD who make the crucial difference.

Living LFC legends

Fair play Cody, that’s a tremendous pass to Mo.

Way too easy for Everton. Lucky for the Reds.

Such a poor start from LFC. Winning just 21% of their ground duels is nowhere near good enough, let alone for a Derby.

There’s already been multiple players shrugging at each other when LFC try to build from the back.

Once again, things seem fairly incoherent & reliant on individual ingenuity.

Sharper combinations & more accurate passing needed.

Essential that the Reds understand they’ll need to earn the right to play today. Especially the newer recruits like Wirtz, Frimpong & Isak.

They can’t crumble amidst what’s likely to be another physical battle.

Essentially, shifted too far towards periodisation to boost availability, as a result we’ve reduced their capacity for intensity. So the foundation of why we were great under Klopp is eroded.

The contact injuries? Absolutely, bad luck.

Hugo’s most likely not. The muscle injuries similarly.

Those who do have that knowledge or expertise that you hear from, don’t agree that it’s simply luck.

We clearly fade late into games, I don’t believe we’ve become mentally fragile all of a sudden, we can’t hold on .

Ooh, that could be a lot of fun

I think Cody benefitted from rotation & competition. Too predictable as the only option.

The fact the drop off has been so wide-spread, only gives more credence to criticism of the coaching imo.

Fair enough. You don’t sanction the sale before the replacement is secured in that case. I get that we’ve been keen to honour promises to players, but after Diogo we could’ve made an exception.

Yeah, I’m not naive enough to think it’s all on one person. I do think the coaching underperformance has been unacceptable though & warrants us making a change

Sounds suspiciously like the whole “top red” nonsense again.

I agree that relentless negativity isn’t great. I also don’t believe the fan base should be entirely supplicant & not objectively critique what they’re seeing.

It’s a fairly sarcastic comment I’m making guys.

If you’re fed up with fans being unhappy at the inaction around a manager who’s breaking records for losses in a season for LFC, direct that towards FSG I think.

He’s been terrific for Bayern this season & even when he’s not effective attacking wise, you know the shift & tenacity he can bring.

Reminder 18364949 that selling Diaz & not replacing him was a sackable offence

So delighted Real Madrid have lost like that.

This Bayern team deserve to go all the way.

Annoyingly I can find you a compilation of chances he’s put on a plate for others this season that they’ve fluffed. Across the board we’ve been so wasteful, it just stands out more with Mo because his baseline was so high.

PSG are stacked with quality all over the place but it’s the coherent coaching, structure & belief in the plan from the players that’s been the most stark contrast for me over the two legs.

Essential that the club make the required decisions & fast.

Lots of huff and puff from Liverpool but so timid in an attacking sense.

PSG’s serious quality showed up when needed. Otherwise they’ve kept us at arms length

There’s zero reason to overrule the referee’s call there.

That’s bullshit

Not sure how, he’s always so good and finding space.

Yeah, I’m aware a lot of this is systemic. Just a shame we’ve not been able to build a platform for him to shine in games like this

Florian Wirtz.

These were the games he was surely bought to make his impression on.

It’s largely passed him by (despite him working hard off the ball) & when he’s had the ball he’s not been close to decisive enough.

Lots of heart & endeavour but LFC have been awful to a man on the ball.

So wasteful when they’ve had opportunities to attack. No composure in key moments & then too tentative when speed of thought was needed.

I’d be hooking Grav for Jones if the latter is fit enough.

I’d be contemplating hooking Grav for Jones if he’s fit enough.

The former has been so, so poor on the ball in a number of key moments.
